"Has anyone seen the princess?" Gazelle turned around to a voice calling for her. She saw one of the royal guards, Pat running frantically, asking anyone and everyone if they have seen her. "PAT!!" Gazelle had cheered, running towards him. She wrapped her arms around his waist and smiled and big as she could, "I have missed you. Where is Pau?"
"Pau is fine, but I came to tell you something much more important." Gazelle had a face of discern and told the guard to follow her. They walked into the castle, speeding the princess' chambers. Gazelle sat down on her bed, patting the side next to her. Pat said he would rather stand and Gazelle listened anyway. Pat paced the room, explaining the situation to her. "The kingdom took over ours, I understand that but what happened to my fathers?" Gazelle asked, determination on her face. Pat paused for dramatic effect and took one last gulp, "They were captured." Everything happened as if it was in slow motion, Gazelle felt herself fall back into the cushions of her bed. Everything was a blur, the queens coming in, Pat trying to wake her up, Pau coming in to help and more noise that just sounded like mumbles. Gazelle stared at the ceiling, thinking back to her fathers. She thought about their smiling faces, the eagerness in their voice when they prepared to fight each other, the hill they always found her on, even the stupid lectures and boring classes they did with her; she missed it and she was going to get it back.

Gazelle felt something tickle at her feet. She slowly sat up, her back arching in a way to avoid all attacks and looked down. She saw Lucha trying to wake her up, she smiled and began to speak. "I'm going to find them." All eyes landed on her, staring down in either confusion or concern. "Y-you mustn't," Annaline said, with hesitation. "You can get badly hurt and it is our jobs to protect you." Gazelle looked up, she opened her mouth to say something, but was beat to it. "Oh no, we are not failing your fathers and letting you get yourself killed!" Pau rose a stern finger in front of her face, he was like an uncle to her and Pat seemed more of her aunt. "I know you're scared and worried about them, but we and they can't bear losing you," Pat said, tears glazing his eyes. Gazelle tried to push away, she almost felt like she was defeated. Her arms pounded and her heart raced, she needed to find the people she cared so deeply about and help them. "That is enough," Vasiti, the quietest of them all, rose with confidence. "It is not your call to make, it is only Gazelle's. If she so wishes to save her fathers, then she should save her fathers. This our time to support her and help her grow to be a queen, not treat her like a fragile flower." This time, everyone's eyes went to Queen Vasiti in amazement and shock, even Gazelle was surprised. Vasiti crouched to the princess' level and asked her, "is this your final decree?" Gazelle hesitantly nodded, waiting for some kind of lesson but it never came. Vasiti asked to get a few horses and supplies for Gazelle and two guards to go with her, it was not a journey she could take alone. Lucha climbed up to Gazelle's shoulder, asking for permission to go. "Of course, we need all the help we can get!" Gazelle immediately hugged the queen, thanking her for everything she was doing. Vasiti only said that she wished someone did that for her as a princess, maybe she would have more confidence.
