"Surprise! Aunt Tess we're early and we brought Jane and your team!...Aunt Tess?"

There was no response as Ann and her father come in, the rest of the Lisbon family enters the house.

"I'll go check on her."

Jane goes upstairs and enters her room, she looks so peaceful in bed. Relaxed and warm, her hair in chocolate waves on the pillow, if only RJ was gone for good then Jane would already have a relationship with her.

He touches her warm skin and gently shakes her a little.

"Hey little agent it's time to wake up."

No response, she must be really tired. Knowing Lisbon she would've stayed up all night getting ready for today so it made sense for her to sleep in. He decides to leave her alone for a while, he's never seen her this way before and she deserves some peace and quiet.

"So?"

"Don't worry Ann, when she wakes up she will hear all about your acceptance to Baylor."

"Wait what? How did you know about that? I didn't tell anyone!"

Jane simply smiles at her and goes back to the team, a little surprised to see Grace talking to someone else besides Rigsby? Cho fills him in.

"This is one of Lisbon's brothers, Matthew, he just flew in from Houston."

This gets Matthew's attention who stops his conversation with Grace and firmly shakes Jane's hand.

"I'm Matthew, hospital doctor."

"Jane, consultant of CBI. Is Rigsby around?"

Grace smiles and points to a man conversing with Rigsby.

"He's found a new friend, Lisbon's brother Adrian, they've been talking about sports this whole time. So where's our boss?"

"We're two hours early and she deserves to sleep in."

"Tess is sleeping in? She never does that!"

Matthew says incredulously.

"Yes well, I have been pestering her about staying awake to late."

Jane goes to the kitchen with Matthew following and starts making tea.

"So how long have you worked with my sister? Are the two of you a couple?"

"About 7 years now and no, We are not a couple."

Jane takes the tea bag out of his cup and throws it away when something catches Matthew's eye.

"Wait! Don't put the trash away!"

He starts digging through the trash and to his horror he pulls out a capsule of pills. He tosses them to Jane after reading the label.

"Pacata Mortem, it means 'peaceful death' . I'll explain later but we need to wake her up!"

Jane runs upstairs with Matthew close behind. No god not her, not her! He thought for sure she had just overslept but then Jane held her wrist to find her heartbeat slowly fading.
