Chapter 3

(Y/n) POV
"Now that I think about it. What are their roles?" I asked Jimin since he was now holding the paper. Everyone else going back to work while Jin went somewhere.
"everyone on this floor is an officer except for me. And partly V but you get it. Woozi is an officer and an investigator too. DK is an officer and a doctor, Yugyeom is a file keeper and Marks an investigator. Other than that. Everyone else who is coming in two weeks is all an officer" Jimin said and I nodded. Finishing with the few pictures that I hung on the wall beside my desk since I was beside the window. Getting the view of the city.
"your our youngest of the whole squad at 18 (Y/n)... including Dino, Vernon and a couple others" Jungkook said and I sighed.
"Other than that the new ones are either a year older or a few older" Jimin said and I smiled lightly.
"everyone suit up! We got an important case to file!" Boss RM yelled out and I looked away from the window. Rap Monster spotting me as he sighed and walked over.
"stay here Alright? We don't want you going out onto the field yet" RM said and I nodded my head. His eyes drifting to the photos hung on the wall which was only 3. One being a group photo of all of us when we were young along with a photo of me, Suga and Jungkook. The other one being of just the boys all being goofy as they didn't notice the camera.
"Aren't you also apart of the forensic team?" He asked and I nodded proudly.
"good cause Taeyeon and Yuna are in the forensic team. Though they only work in the lab" RM said before looking towards the elevator.
"Be safe and don't leave the building till it's time to go home or until we come back" he said and I nodded. Telling him to be safe as he jogged off.
-time skip-
It's been 3 weeks. Which meant it's been a week since the new recruitments came. I was over joyed seeing Dino and Jackson since we were friends back when I went to Japan for a few years recently. Other than that it's been good. Rap monster hasn't had me on missions yet. But Dino guys were able to which made me sad but I will wait till I'm able to go.
"Ewww" Jackson said as I looked up only to see him and Dino touching something that was on his desk. Jackson's desk being 2 away from mines as Joshua's desk was in front of mines. Though luckily the floor was huge so there was a lot of space. Though me and Jungkook has the most space. Including Jimin and Taehyung.
"(Y/n)! Jin wants you down in the forensic floor!" V called out
"Can it wait a minute?" I asked as I looked down at the paperwork given to me about the last case they went on since I had been working in the forensic area for a while with Taeyeon and Yuna along with Jin and a few of the other forensic police officers.
"he said it's urgent! It's from our last case. Something weird happened!" he continued and I dropped my pen. Standing up quickly as I jogged towards the elevator where he waited. Jimin following as the elevator finally closed. All of us heading to the lobby as we followed the halls that led to the forensic labs and other areas that connected to another building that was wider.
"What happened?" I asked as we were quickly walking towards the other elevator in the building connected.
"there might have been a chance they found something new" he said as we finally got the the 3rd floor of the building. The bottoms floor being the other lobby as the second one being where the dog handlers were.
"What do you mean?" Jimin asked since he had to take notes on what had happened for me.
"I don't know but Yuna accidentally spilled something on the body and it ended up burning the skin only to reveal something else. I'm not sure what though" V said as the elevator finally opened. Getting off as I tripped in the process. Both boys catching me as I thanked them before we made our way over to the three. Taeyeon typing away at a computer with another forensic officer.
"What happened?" I asked as me, Jimin and V placed on the forensic gear to be safe. Tying up my hair into a bun as I slipped on gloves.
"I spilt the chemical onto his body when I tripped over myself and then this happened" Yuna sheepishly told me
"Wait what chemical?" I asked and Jin sighed. Holding up the big graduated cylinder making me make a face of annoyance and disappointment a bit.
"I know your also apart of the chemical department but it was in accident. I'm sorry" Yuna apologetically said with a bow
"I know it is but we spent a whole month trying to make the serum and we don't get the supplies until another month or so. We told you guys specifically how dangerous it could be too... especially now seeing as it really does burn human flesh and not just animal flesh" I told her a bit disappointed and she sighed.
"Just Be careful next time... I'm sorry" I said and took a look at the body. Frowning as I felt like throwing up.
"Why the hell is there bullets in his body?" I asked and she shrugged
"Not only did we find that but we found stab marks in his back and I had just recently found one on his foot" Jin said as he showed me the stab marks
"Do you guys know how the bullets got into his body though?" I asked as I reached into his body to get one. Slightly hesitating though got over it since the hole was big that they burned through.
"we have no clue. Before when we first got the body it actually had no sign of bullet wounds except for the one in his chest" Taeyeon said and I grunted.
"I know I'm not specialized in this department of the police force but... by chance was there a scar there before you guys burnt his skin off?" V asked and we looked at him.
"Oh actually yea! I remember I took photos of all the stab wounds and places that seemed suspicious to me" Youngjae said as he pulled up the photos onto the wide screen TV that hung on the wall as I moved closer to it.
"Stop. Go back" I said as I saw something weird.
"What the hell is that?" I asked as I saw the photo from the crime scene.
"None of us are sure actually... we didn't go except for Jin and a few other forensic workers. But the others are all out on missions with others right now" Taeyeon said and I looked over at Jin who studied the photo from the scene.
"Go call Rap Monster, Suga and a few others that came onto the mission V. (Y/n) go with him. Go find Jungkook, Dino and DK. They came and they were where we were during the mission" Jin said and me and V nodded soon leaving. Not bothering to take off the things. As I placed the goggles onto my forehead. Keeping the gloves on as I refrained from touching anything since they were a bit bloody.
"I'll get Rap Mon and Suga. You get the others" he said as we returned to the main building. Going into the elevator as I nodded soon stopping on the 14 floor. As I called for DK while V went up to the 20th floor.
"Why so bloody?" DK asked as he kept distance from me. Making me roll my eyes
"Forensics" was all I said as we got into the now empty elevator. Going up one floor as I told him to wait by the elevator.
"(Y/n)!" He called out as I passed his desk. Reaching Dino's desk.
"Yea?" I asked as he stood up opening his arms.
"I can't, Hope. I'm still in forensic gear and my gloves are a bit bloody" I said and he only noticed my attire now. As he just nodded and sat down soon getting back to work.
"Kookie!" I yelled out as I caught most of their attention though they knew who I was calling.
"I need you to follow me please!" I yelled as he nodded
"Dino I need you to come with me to the forensic area too" I said and he too nodded as they both followed me
"why are you bloody?" Joshua asked as we were about to leave.
"Forensic" was what I told him just. Like I did to DK before the elevator closed. Jungkook leading the way and opening the doors since I couldn't.
"Why are we being called though?" Dino asked and I sighed.
"You guys were said to be at the scene where Jin guys found the body"
"that's the most I've heard from you since I met you" DK said and I ignored him
"if you get closer to her then she will open up probably" Jungkook said as we entered the forensic lab.
"I got them!" I said as we jogged over to the others. Rap monster, Suga and V already being there.
"Good. Do you guys remember anything?" Jin said as he showed the photo from the scene.
"Show them the other photos from that spot too" Taeyeon said
"Go back to the last photo" Suga said as Youngjae did so.
"Did anyone notice that hand in the dark?" Suga asked and I nodded.
"That's what I was talking about. Did no one noticed that when you guys were at the scene?" I asked and they stayed silent.
"Rap Mon can you guys head back there and retrieve it? I don't know if it's a body under the ruble but... it might be a clue to what happened" I said and he nodded
"What happened to his skin though?" RM asked pointing to the man on the table who was dead.
"Accidentally tripped and spilt too much of the chemical (Y/n) guys made last month" Yuna said and RM nodded. Soon leaving with Suga and Jin as another couple of forensic workers followed all going to retrieve the body.
"You guys can leave. Kookie stay here though" I muttered as they nodded. Jungkook grabbing a coat to use along with gloves.
"Needed the body because of that?" Jungkook asked as I started taking out the bullets.
"Yea" I said and closed the container.
"11 bullets..." I said as I gave it to Taeyeon as she looked at them.
"So much.." Taeyeon muttered and I hummed in response.
"there's nothing else we can do until we get the other body. If it is a body though" Yuna said as we stared at the body

I grunted as I sat on the chair. Taking off my gloves as most of the forensic workers left except for me and Taeyeon. Jin returning after he had to treat some of the police officers that got her during their cases since the other doctors went home seeing as it was 11 at night and most of their shifts ended at 8 or 9.
"I'm back" Jin said as Jungkook nodded his head. Staying as he wanted to help us.
"Ugh. Finally it loaded" Taeyeon said as we got the information on the girl. I stood up and stood behind her as I looked at the information of the girl.
"Kim Ara. Age 9. The Kim family was a suspect I guess seeing as this is the father" I muttered as Taeyeon nodded. Me and her turning our heads as we heard Jin yelp.
"gross the hell" Jungkook muttered as he picked up a dagger covered in blood. Though all our eyes darted to the door that opened. Revealing Rap Monster and Joshua. All of us staying silent as we all stayed in the same spots.
"(Y/n). This is a week late but I forgot to tell you that Joshua is your main partner. Though someone will always be with you two. Either that or it would be Coups and Jackson with you or Suga and Jungkook with you. Usually it's Dino with you and Joshua though" RM said and I nodded my head.
"Yea ok. But why is he down in the forensic lab?" I asked as I took the dagger out of jungkooks hand using the big ass tweezers and placing the dagger into the bag.
"Your going to train him in all the departments your already qualified in" RM said and my mouth dropped open slightly. Onto to see Rap Monster smirk.
"But that includes this department, the chemical department, aero department"
"Don't forget cause I didn't ask you to do this. The chair man of Suga's company said so" he said making me groan.
"But then... Rap monster. The aero department is harder to train people in" I whined slightly.
"it's always the chairman of the other company" Jungkook muttered though I didn't catch it much.
"If I made the decision you know I wouldn't have Jungkook" RM said and Kookie nodded his head.
"Alright fine. Just it will take a while until me, Taeyeon, Jin and the others can get this over with" I said as I looked back at the two bodies.
"For now. Can you at least teach him about the equipment. That's all?" I asked and Rap Monster smiled proudly at me.  "that's my girl. But it would be easy in both the Chemical and this department since he studied it a bit during his training years" RM said and I just grunted.
"and warm up to him will you. Don't be so cold like you do to others you don't know" he said making me huff as I turned the other direction embarrassed.
"You're pushing it Rap Monster" Jin said though got ignored. Not to long after Joshua was beside us in gear as me and Jin worked on the bodies. Looking at the stab wounds and such.
"Dried blood..." I muttered before flipping her body. Only for my face to scrunch up a bit.
"It's still bleeding" I muttered as Jungkook stood on the other side of me. Using the big tweezers as he took out something sharp from the girl again. Making me click my tongue.
"How much daggers were shoved in her... and how recently?" I muttered
"just yesterday. And I'm guessing it's how much ever you guys could find" Taeyeon said and I nodded.
I glanced at Jin who had Joshua by his side now as they worked on the males body.
"The mother" I said in realization.
"I tried calling her number seeing how recent the number is since she last changed it. But she's not answering. I called her the whole day and I haven't gotten blocked yet. No ones answering the home phone" Taeyeon said and I stayed silent as me and Jungkook continued searching for more daggers though listening to what she said.
"have you guys gone to their house yet?" josh asked
"I was just thinking that. I have there address but I need to ask Rap Monster" Tae said and I sighed.
"and I thought Jimin had to stay to record data for you" She said as we turned to each other.
"Ah no. Jimin had a doctors appointment so I let him off" I said smiling lightly as she nodded her head.
"that's all the weapons I found in her... nothing else" Jungkook said and I nodded soon turning her back into her back as I took a look at her face. Sighing as she looked so young.
"this is the place Yuna burnt on the mans skin" Jin told me as he pointed to an areas on the girls waist. Making me frown as I lifted her shirt up.
"A scar... just what we were looking for" I muttered as I watched Jin cut the flesh of her body. Soon removing it and placing it into a container as I hummed.
"Same thing... bullets found inside her body" I said as Jungkook took them out. Counting them as he came out with 11 just like the mans one.
"It doesn't make sense though" I voiced our.
"What do you mean?" Jin asked me and I looked at him.
"I mean. If they were scars and the killing happened two days ago. How did their flesh heal so fast? It would have taken months before it healed to look like that" I said and they stayed silent all thinking.
"I don't know but it still might have been the same person who killed them. We just have to find the mother and see if anything relates to her" Tae said
"Did you guys run blood samples yet? Or found any finger prints?" josh asked and I nodded.
"We haven't sampled them yet I mean but we've collected it. The finger prints were blood prints that I found on the girls clothing and some on her skin my her neck and face. Took a photo of them already" I said and he nodded.
"I'll be back. I'm going to run them in the machine" I said as they all nodded. Joshua following me as we went to the room next door.
