Chapter 17

(Y/n)'s POV
"why are you up so early?" I heard a familiar voice ask.
"Don't scare me like that... and I could ask you the same thing" I muttered as I tried finding him. Though he turned on his phones flashlight and that's only when I had noticed the heavy downpour at the moment. 
"Shit" I muttered before moving closer to him.
"Does the power work?" I asked him before he tried turning on the lamp beside him. Making me frown as it didn't turn on.
"the powers out" Joshua mumbled and I nodded as I also stood up.
"What do we do?" I muttered
"I don't know"  he voiced out as I sat beside him on the couch again.
"you still smell like roses and vanilla" he said and I laughed softly
"I would guess. I only slept" I told the boy beside me.
"You have a day off today. What are you going to do?" I asked and he didn't take a second to think, only said what came to his mind at the moment. 
"spend the day with you, of course" he said smiling as he turned off his phones flashlight. Leaving us in the dark as the others all slept.
"Why don't you spend the day with the girl you like?" I asked him softly.
"Wae? I can't hang out with someone I want to?" He asked softly
"Of course you can but I have work to do at the building" I told him softly as I laid my head on his shoulder.
"So if you want to still hang out with me, you can come with me to the building" I told him and he sighed.
"it's our day off though" he whispered back since our schedules would always be the same since we were back to being partners.
"I know. But I'm testing things out" I mumbled as I played with his fingers. Always having the habit of playing with someone's fingers if I know them.
"just stay home and do it" he whispered and I sighed.
"I don't know..." I muttered.
"why? Ever since we became partners again I had to move in here. Since they didn't want you living alone.. and so I want to spend my time with you if we don't have work" he said and I stayed quiet.
"Just spend your time with the girl you like.." I muttered
"I want to spend my day with you, I said. I don't want to spend my day with Jae Min." He said a bit annoyed and I sighed.
"Alright.. just come with me then ok? We can spend the day together" I told him softly. Not wanting to get him angry nor wanting to start a fight with him again.
"no, at home" he whined softly and I sighed.
"Ok.. at home" I said a bit disappointedly as he cheered softly. Before I knew it. All phones alarms were going off. Indicating it was now probably 5:30. I quickly went over to my phone by Dino and turned off my alarm as he started waking up. Grabbing his own phone as he sat up and turned off his alarm. The others doing the same before they all stood.
"Morning" I told them as they either grunted in response or told me a morning too.
"are you coming to work today?" Woozi asked groggily knowing I had a day off but we were working on something together.
"Possibly. If anything I'll have my headset on." I said and he nodded his head before they all started getting ready. Some going to take a shower as Mina went to my room to use my bathroom.
I too went upstairs to my room. Though only grabbing my laptop I use to program. Brining down my Mac laptop too as I grabbed both chargers before heading done back to where we had all slept. The others all having flashlights on since it was dark and still raining heavily. The power still out too.
I placed the chargers on the coffee table that was pushed to the side before placing my MacBook there too. Soon going over to one spot of the couch as Joshua was cleaning up the blankets and pillows. Though I told him it was fine since the others were coming back tonight again. Though he said he was still going to clean it up.
"What do we have so far?" Woozi asked as he sat beside me. Both of us had already gotten ready before I grabbed my laptops.
"Just need to test it out possibly"
"are we doing it with this weather?" He asked and I sighed.
"Maybe. It depends. I still have to download the code to whatever car were using"
"we're going guys" Rap Mon said and we nodded. Joshua having been upstairs at the time putting the blankets away. All the others left, leaving me, Woozi and Joshua.
"if anything try it on one of their cars" Woozi replied and I nodded taking out my phone knowing they were all getting into their cars. Or those who could drive at least.
"Hello?" Jun's voice rung through the line
"Ah Jin. Sorry. Me and Woozi are just going to test something out with your car. So whatever you do. Just continue driving" I said
"whatever you say. I'm with Jungkook, and Jackson though" he said
"Yea. It's fine. Well just stay put. I need to call someone else right now" I said and he hummed in response. Letting me know I could call the other person.
"Rap Mon. Jin, Jungkook and Jackson will be late for a bit. Me and Woozi are using them as test dummies" I said and Woozi smiled. Holding back his laughter.
"understood. Just don't kill them" Rap Mon said before hanging up. Woozi bursting our laughing as I did so too before calling Jin back. Him having answered my call once me and Woozi quieted down.
"Ah. Ok" I said as Woozi went to get his programming laptop.
"so just keep driving?" Jin asked
"Yep. Just keep driving" Woozi said as he opened up the information on Jin's car. The two of us having access to these kinds of stuff.
Woozi also opening up a map that shows where the car was and other things. While I pulled up a screen that showed what the car showed from the front view.
Another window being what you could see inside the car.
Luckily we had been able to locate cameras in cars easily despite the cars not having some but we were able to access the radio to turn it off so we could listen to whatever the person was saying in the car.
"I'm pulling up the radio audio" he mumbled to me as I nodded
"Hey Jin. Can you guys play some music?" I asked as the phone was placed between me and Woozi.
"Kookie turn on the radio" he said and I smiled as I continued typing away before hitting enter as a bar showed up.
"Encrypting... downloading at 90%" I mumbled as the download was quick.
"shutting off engine" Woozi said as he hit the enter button on his laptop. Soon we heard the threes confused woah's since Woozi had been able to hack the radio to the car.
"Keep the radio on" Jin told Jungkook
"I'm trying it's not working" Kookie said panicked.
"Don't worry about the radio.. Woozi is it still going?" I asked and he nodded. Showing me his laptop screen which just needed 50 more percent.
"This is taking longer than expected"
"I don't know. Yesterday when tested this out on my car. It didn't take long to shut down. It took seconds for the completion" Woozi said as my eyes went over to the figure that moved down the stairs. Shrugging as Joshua continued his way down the steps.
"ah. There" he said as it shows the map on his screen that the vehicle completely stopped moving. The camera views on my screen showing both the front of the cars view and the threes reactions.
"what just happened?" Jackson asked as I could faintly hear it over the phone.
"wait. I'm trying to turn on my truck again" Jin said and I smiled lightly knowing he doesn't have control over the engine.
"Download completed" I said as I started up his car again.
"what are you doing Jin?! Move the car!" I heard Jungkook yell as Woozi chuckled. Watching from my computer as he wanted to see their reactions.
"I'm trying!" Jin yelled back
As they bickered I typed in a destination and hit enter as the car started moving.
"what's happening (Y/n)?!" Jin panicked
"Just sit back. Don't freak out or anything" I said calmly and he hesitated but did as told. All of them looking a bit scared.
Me and Woozi watched from our computer screens as the map shows them moving again along with the radio that was now recording everything they said while it was saving on Woozi's computer.

The two of us still waiting on them to reach their destination.
"where are we going?" Jackson asked and I chuckled a bit.
"Back to my House" I said as Woozi nodded though they couldn't see us.
"your coming to pick me up" Woozi said and the boys just nodded knowing we could probably see them.
Soon enough the car arrived and Woozi left with his programming computer and his other things he needed for today since he too didn't have work today. I then entered the address of the company building as soon as Woozi got in. Hitting enter as the car started moving. Taking the safest routes possible without stopping. 
Soon enough they got there and now me and Woozi were trying to figure out a way we could control the car using one of those remote controls.
"what are you working on?" He asked as he sat next to me.
"Just on the project me and Woozi are working on" I told him.
"spend time with me" he whined and I sighed.
"I'm trying to get this done Josh" I told him and he sighed in return. Wrapping his arms around my waist. Though my head started hurting a bit. Reminding me of the day when Kookie and Suga handcuffed me to my desk.
I remember perfectly that, that was the day something came back to me.
"Hey, are you ok?" He asked and I snapped out of my small headache as it disappeared. Soon looking at Joshua as I realized we were both lying down. Though his head on my stomach as he partially laid on my right leg.
"I'm ok" I whispered as I looked at my laptop that was on the stool next to the couch. Letting me reach it easily if anything.
Sighing though, I ran my hands through Joshua's soft hair which was now brown instead of its ginger color like last year. The color having faded though sometimes his hair looked like a ginger color because of the sun.
'One day... I still have to tell them' I thought as I looked at my childhood best friend.
Yes he left me but I'm trying not to remember that. I don't want to get all mad and sad because of that. He doesn't know about me remembering. And I don't know if he remembers me at all.
Though at the same time. That's the reason why when we became partners again. That's why I opened up to him whenever I could. That's why when he got a new partner before we became partners again, that's why I regretted not fighting back for him to stay as my partner. Instead I let him go after the accident where him, Dino, J-Hope and Mingyu got badly beaten up.
But me remembering had made me get closer to them.
But ever since a month after remembering, I never once talked to Suga or Jungkook. I barely talked to Rap Monster, J-Hope, Jimin and Jin either. I was upset at them for not telling me the truth even when I didn't get my memories back. And so it's been 11 months total that I've drifted away from them and gotten closer to the others on the 14 and 15th floor.
"It will all change one day" I mumbled to myself. As I continued running my hands through Joshua's hair. Realizing his slow and steady breathes as he had once again fallen asleep.
"I wonder. Did you get any sleep last night?" I whispered. Remembering he was up before me.

Jimin's POV
"11 months huh?" I mumbled to the boys in front of me as we were currently inside of Rap Monsters office.
"she's been avoiding us this whole time. Yea she may talk to you guys, barely, but she won't talk to me or Jungkook" Suga said a bit stressed.
"we could always go back to her house. I mean she stayed home cause she has a day off" J-hope piped in
"it just doesn't make sense though. Why all of a sudden?" Jungkook spoke a bit hurt.
"she has her reasons to why we don't know" RM said as he sighed
"guys, what if she recovered from amnesia?" Jin asked a bit shakily and unsure.
"It's impossible. We would have known. She would have told us if she gotten her memories back" I said and they all seemed quiet for a second.
"she would have told us" Jungkook said nodding his head and I did so too
"Yea. I guess. I'm just worried. She's drifted away and it's almost been a year" Jin sighed out as he fiddled with his hands.
"she's 19 guys. Relax a bit" Hope said softly as he stood up.
"Alright then. If anything, if anyone knows why then tell the rest of us" Rap Mon said and we all nodded before leaving.

Joshua's POV
After having fallen asleep for however long, I finally woke up. My eyes opening as I propped my self onto my elbows. Looking up at the sleeping girl before getting off of her. Reaching for my phone as i looked at it. My phone being blown up by messages and calls
"Hello?" I mumbled to the person who had called me. Seeing as she answered the phone once I called back.
"Hey. Where are you? I thought you were going to attend the event today" Jae Min said over the phone.
"Sorry, I didn't go. I didn't get much sleep at night and I've been busy with work lately so I'm just tired" I said as I scratched my head.
"oh. Well it's ok then. I hope you get more rest and stay healthy. How about hanging out tomorrow?" She asked and I smiled lightly.
"Sure why not?"
"Alright! Park at 10?"
"Of course. See you then Jae Min" I told the girl as she giggled before hanging up.
Putting my phone back down, I was about to walk towards the kitchen only to jump when I heard a voice speak.
"who was that?" (Y/n) asked tiredly and I faced her.
"Just Jae Min. When did you wake up?" I asked turning to face her.
"when I felt a sudden weight lift off of me" she stated and I chuckled as she sat up.
"Sorry I woke you up then. Want to head to a cafe to eat?" I asked and she shrugged, nodding her head before we went upstairs to our rooms to change.

-the cafe-
"Hello?" (Y/n) asked answering her phone as I was still laughing from the story she told.
"ah jinja?... ok... I'll be there soon" she said before hanging up just as I stopped laughing.
"Sorry josh. Woozi seriously needs me and so does team C" she said standing up as she left some money on the table.
"I'll go with you then" I said and she looked at me worriedly before answering.
"no it's fine. I'm not going to the building. Woozi's picking me up right now" she said and I just nodded. Looking back at my coffee.
"Sorry, I'll see you later when I'm done" she said and hugged me quickly before grabbing her bag as I just stayed silent in response. Soon enough she left.
Sighing I also left some money on the table for my drink before heading back to our shared house. Originally hers.
