Chapter 14

(Y/n)'s POV
-mini time skip-
As me and Cheryl and three other high ranking pilots practiced for the air show. The other pilots couldn't help but watch amazed. I smiled as we did a few tricks before landing. One by one.
Laughing, I carefully got out. Being careful since I haven't fully healed yet.
"After a week of figuring out what to do. I think that went great" I said as the other pilots who flew with me agreed. The other pilots who watched, clapped and cheered.
All 5 of us bowing before we all went back inside.
Looking back outside, I saw a familiar car park near my own car.
"I thought he was busy" I mumbled before seeing Joshua get out of his car. Jogging over to the building as I talked with Cheryl who seemed excited for the show that's happening in December. Which wasn't too far away.
"oh. I'll be leaving now" Cheryl said giving me a smile or more like a smirk. As she patted my shoulder before turning around and walking away.
"Ch-Cheryl?" I asked confused. Only to be answered with someone clearing their throat.
Looking behind me I sighed.
"What do you want? You haven't talked to me for almost 2 weeks" I said and motioned him to sit down.
"sorry I'm late. I was caught up with things and couldn't attend aero practice today" Joshua spoke and I rolled my eyes as he ignored what I had just said
"Caught up with what?... So busy with something that you actually missed all practices while ignoring me?" I asked a bit pissed as he stayed silent.
"Yea" He said after a bit.
"With what exactly?" I asked crossing my arms.
"none of your business"
"Ok. If it's none of my business to know why you've been missing all your aero practices. Then it's not my business to be teaching you anymore" I hissed as I stood up, walking away from him as I knew he wasn't following me.
"What?" I muttered into my phone as I got a call.
"come to my office" Rap Monster said before hanging up. Sighing, I got into my car, turned on the engine and drove off to the departments main building. Parking in my parking spot before turning off my car and going inside. Putting my keys in the pocket of my jeans.
Once I got to his office, I sat down on one of the chairs.
"So? Why was I called here?" I asked and he sighed.
"your getting a partner switch" Rap Mon said and I grinned. Though he didn't look very happy since he liked me with Joshua as my partner.
"Dino is your partner not Joshua anymore" he said and I grinned.
"I don't know what happened between you two but... whatever did happen. I'm disappointed" he sighed out and I frowned a bit.
"If anything. Be disappointed in Joshua, Rap Monster. I don't know what I did for him to ignore me after I've gotten out of the hospital. But he's been missing all his aero practices too and he won't tell me what he's been doing the whole time" I said and he sighed again.
"I don't know why either. But he has a new partner and she's new" he said and I shrugged. 
"What did she go into?"
"she's a beginner police. But her office will be on the fourth floor. She's never going on dangerous missions and Joshua isn't going on much dangerous missions anymore" he said and I nodded.
"Well if that's all. Then I'll get going" I said and bowed as he just let me go.
Going back to my office as I started working on paperwork. Dino had already knew and was happy about the news.
"you've heard?" Joshua asked and I looked up. Only to see him smirking.
"Yea" I said plainly
"jealous?" He asked and I leaned back against my chair. Not hesitating with my answer.
"Definitely not. If anything, I'm happy.. I don't need to teach you anything anymore and I don't need to see your face everywhere I go. Have you been told yet already, that your not going on much dangerous missions anymore?" I asked and he frowned. Smirking, I went back to work.
"what do you mean?" He finally asked as I continued my paper work
"I mean what I meant"
"why?"
"Because... Your partner is a beginner officer. She's on the fourth floor, which means she can't go on dangerous missions. Unless she's either on the 14th or 15th floor. Till then, you won't go on much dangerous missions with us" I said as I signed my signature at the bottom of the page, where I needed to.
Joshua huffing before he went back to his desk. Smirking as I continued my paperwork.
