Warning: Lots of cursing and dirty jokes

Yao and Kiku hurried of the bus into the humid air, shitty duffel bags glenched tightly in their hands as they desperately avoided the dozen or so other kids stomping off after them.

Yao had seriously neglected his one week of freedom, for he wouldn't be able to leave this camp for eighty days. Summer break would last ninety-four days in total, a week of which he had already used up, and Yao could not wait for it to be over.

Yao hated the outdoors. Especially in summer. He had no friends (unless you counted Kiku, his brother) and wasn't particularly interested at all in nature-oriented activities, so why the fuck did his parents enlist him in a god-damn summer camp? Simple: They had work and they couldn't be bothered.

And they also expected him to be gay.

Now, let me explain. This camp was called "Camp World" (Cheesy, I know) and was advertised as an "all inclusive" camp, striving to help teens "discover themselves" and and also make friends. Whilst at the same time exposing them some quality time in the much needed fresh californian air. Though this place definitely didn't look like California to Yao, the closest thing there was to a beach and tall palm trees was a dirty-ass lake and a fuck-ton of pine trees which wouldnt stop shedding all over him.

Now, long story short, Yao's parents had found him watching Gay Porn on a VHS in his room.

That's it, the whole story.

In Yao's defense, he tried to explain how we was 'just curious' to his parents, but by then they had pretty much already booked him and his step-brother a spot at this camp.

Whether it was so Yao's parents could get their dissapointing son away from them for a summer or whether it was to try help him discover himself and help him, Yao had no idea. All he knew was that he was at a summer camp which he would not enjoy- and that sucked.

But anyway, Kiku and Yao got of the bus and were immediately beckoned over by some albino kid with a voice that sound like he had been gurgling gravel all morning.

"You two are Yao and Kiku, right?" he asked after they had reluctantly walked over.

Kiku and Yao nodded at the strange man, before exchanging eye contact with each other which subtly meant:

"Why does this albino fuck sound like he has five tons of phlegm lodged in his throat?"

The man grinned widely, before ticking their names off of his clipboard register and beckoning them over to a group of about six other kids.

"Yo! Welcome to Group B of "Camp World's" Year 2000 summer camp! I'm the counsellor in charge of you this year- the name's Gilbert by the way, call me Gilbo or Bert and I'll knock your teeth out- I hope we can all get along. Oh and by the way the posh motherfucker over there is Roderich. He's my bitch." Gilbert announced to the group, pointing to another group to their left and at a man they assumed was Roderich.

"Oh RODDY~!" He cooed (if you could even call his weird mating caw that) , causing all of Group B to cover their ears.

Roderich snapped his head to Gilbert's direction and shouted:

"Fuck you!" to which Gilbert responded,

"Love you too!"

At this point, the entirety of group B was confused and also kind of mortified.

After the coast was clear and they could remove their hands from the sides of their heads, Yao noticed Gilbert was wearing a very stereotypical camp counsellor uniform. A beige collared shirt with a badge badly sewn on, knee-high white socks and surprisingly tiny beige shorts which Yao and everyone else pretended not to notice.

One kid at the back raised his hand to which Gilbert nodded at him to speak.

"So are the counsellors just allowed to swear and stuff?" The kid asked, and you could tell from his care-free attitude and obnoxious voice he was way too excited for this camp.

Gilbert chuckled and walked over to the kid, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Look, kid, no one here really fucking cares what the counsellors do as long as you guys are having fun. I mean, I'm twenty two. The only reason I'm here is because I have some serious rent to pay. Also because Roderich is pretty hot. You get me?"

The kid nodded rapidly, to which Gilbert responded by patting him on the shoulder and striding back to the front of the group.

"OKAY! So we have eight people in this group, three of which are girls, and two cabins with four beds each. Since there is a strict same-sex ruling policy I'm gonna have to swap one of the guys for a girl from another group to even things out. So lets see..."

Yao crossed his fingers and closed his eyes.

Please dont separate me and Kiku. I dont know how I would get through this nightmare without his constant silent, and often sometimes creepy, presence. he thought

But, alas, his prayers were not answered.

"Alright Kiku I'm swapping you with a girl from group C hold on a sec."

Yao groaned angrilly as Gilbert hurried over to Roderich's group to go discuss cabins. At that point mostly the rest of group B began to chat amongst themselves.

"Why did he have to separate us? Surely the cabin could fit at least one more." He complained, kicking some dirt with his trainers and brushing pine needles off his shoulder.

"I don't know. But it is fine, I will be alright." Kiku answered, never looking up from the spot on the ground he had been staring at ever since he joined the group.

Five minutes went by, and Kiku was swapped out with a tan looking girl with brown hair in pigtails. Yao and the other three boys were all given a key to cabin three (Hey that rhymed, would you look at that) and told they had twenty minutes to unpack and chat with each other.

Before Gilbert could run off, Yao pulled him aside behind a random cabin to talk.

"Sorry Gilbert but uhmm... I was wondering if you could swap someone else instead of Kiku out. He tends to get really awkward and panicky with strangers and-" Yao was cut off by that annoying german accent.

"This camp is about finding new friends and stuff, so there's no point in changing rooms if that's gonna stop him from branching out, y'know?" And with that, Gilbert left without letting Yao reply.

Great. Just great. Could this experience get any worse for Yao? He sighed and made his way to cabin three, hauling his duffel bag with him.

When he got to the cabin and read the green painted "3" next to the door, he prepared himself mentally one last time before twisting the door handle.
