First of all, I'M SORRY. I havent updated in AGES, I know. That is because I went abroad for a few weeks, and then when I came back I just kept procrastinating and just UGH. But yeah, this will be continuing. I am not dead.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Same as the last morning, they woke up, got dressed, ate breakfast and ignored all sexual tension that had pent up from the night before.
Actually, Yao didn't.
Yao wasn't a dumbass, he was a smart, serious, respectful Chinese person for gods sake! He could tell by the stargazing and hair tying and saving-from-snake business that him and Ivan were beginning to get closer.
Though, Yao wasn't sure whether they were friends yet or not, as they hadn't really genuinely talked much.
Anyways, that morning the first activity was finishing up carving their spoons. Yao was pretty happy with his, hell, maybe he could take it home and cook something with it. That'd be nice.
"Are you alright Yao? You've been staring off into space for a while now." Ivan stated, removing Yao from his Chinese-food-filled fantasy. (Try saying THAT 10 times fast.)
Yao jumped and stared up at Ivan, eyes focusing on his large frame. Suddenly, he realised that he had been asked a question.
"Yeah, Im alright. Just thinking about food..." Yao trailed off, though soon realising he had made a mistake.
Fuck! Ivan was going to think he was some kind of dope like Alfred who only thought about food!
However, instead of that happening, Ivan just chuckled and responded
"Looked like you were imagining something pretty yummy."
Yao just nodded, feeling that that sentence was too much of an innuendo for him to respond to.
Luckily, he didnt have to, because guess who's annoying German accent radiated through the air so loud Yao felt like his ear canals were being molested?
You guessed it! Fucking Gilbert's!
"Alright campers! Since today is pretty hot out, we're gonna have our next activity be canoeing. So, Everyone, go get your swimsuits and then meet me at the dock! If you aren't there within 10 minutes your ass is gonna have to swim!"
Yao groaned, however he complied as he and the other Group B boys went to their cabin to change.
He wasn't exactly scared of the water, or even of boats- for he had gone fishing a lot with his dad when he was younger- but Yao hadn't been on a boat in a while, and knowing the rest of the group something was bound to go wrong. Meaning, if Yao ended up in the water, he didn't have much experience with swimming very recently.
Even so, Yao and the rest of Cabin three got their swimming trunks on and then headed down to the dock where Gilbert handed them life vests. Afterwards, he gave them a short tutorial of how to actually use a canoe.
The task was simple, even for beginners: they were to pair up, and then get from one side of the lake to another without falling out of the boat, then come back.
"Now that you know the task, it's time to pair up! You can pair up with whoever you want, just know that you will be stranded in the middle of a lake with that person. So choose carefully." Gilbert explained, eyeing Alfred and Arthur, who had a tendency to fight loads but end up grouping together anyways.
Suddenly, Yao and Ivan's eyes met each other's, causing a spark of excitement to flow through Yao.
"Would you like to be partners?" Ivan asked, once everyone had started chatting amongst themselves and pairing up.
