Chapter 15

Carlos stood there he didn't know what to do. He could tell Mal was scared to tell him something but he didn't know what.

He began to walk over to Jays house so he could talk to him as he figured that's where Jay went.

Now Carlos did have a couple of ideas about what Mal was hiding but he didn't know what exactly it was.

Then he began to think about when Jay told him Mal had a crush on him. He wanted to believe it but cause it was Jay saying it he didn't know if he could believe it.

Once he reached Jays house he knocked on the door and Jay opened it up after a few minutes.

"Hey man how was that talk with Mal?" The son of Jafar asked as he stepped out of his house and shut the door behind him.

"It was alright." Carlos said. "But look Mals hiding something and I'm starting to think it's not that she's scared to go to Auradon." He continued.

"Man I told you she has a crush on you." Jay said in response.

"Yeah I know you told me that but." Carlos was cut off by Jay.

"Bro just go to her and ask her if she likes you I can guarantee she will say yes especially if you tell her you like her too." Jay said.

"What if she doesn't actually like me Jay and I tell her I like her?" Carlos questioned.

"Well then it'll be a truly awkward moment." Jay responded. "Look just give it a shot." He continued.

"Fine." Carlos stated.

Carlos walked away from Jay and decided he was gonna wait a little bit before talking to Mal.

Meanwhile Mal was sitting on a rooftop again just thinking and trying to process everything.

There was so much going on in her head from the stuff with Harry to Auradon and obviously including everything with Carlos.

She was taken out of her thoughts when she heard arguing from the ground but it was off in the distance.

She stood up and looked over at where she heard the arguing. It was surprisingly Harry and Uma.

Mal jumped down and snuck over to where they were arguing but hid behind a wall so she couldn't be seen and she began to listen.

"Hook! Do you not understand?!" Uma asked sounding super pissed.

"Yes I do but what am I suppose to do?! Nothing I try convinces her and nothing ever will!" Harry yelled right back.

"So?! Would you rather not be king?!" Uma asked yelling.

"Of course I wanna be king! But nothing I try convinces her!" Harry yelled.

"Then try harder!" Uma yelled. "Trick her! Lie to her!" She said pissed off.

"No! I'm done trying! I give up!!" Harry said before walking away pissed.

Mal didn't even care that Harry and Uma were in her territory. She was too busy trying to take in what she just heard.

Uma walked off pissed as well and as soon as the coast was clear Mal came out of her hiding spot.

She couldn't believe that Uma and Harry actually had a fight. They always got along so well.

Mal shrugged it off and walked back to the house that she was sitting on the rooftop of.

She began to climb up the fire escape and once she reached the top she sat down and looked around and took a deep breath then breathed out.

Meanwhile on the ground. Carlos was walking around trying to figure out when he was gonna ask Mal if she actually liked him.

He was mainly just nervous about it because he didn't know if he should tell her that he has a crush on her.

Even though Jay told him she does he didn't know if he could truly believe him.

As Carlos was thinking he spotted Mal on a rooftop. He began to think about whether or not he should go up there and just talk to her about the whole crush thing.

He decided why not? He walked over to the fire escape and climbed it then went and sat beside Mal.

"Hey Mal." He said.

"Hi Carlos." She said.

"Listen..I'm gonna get straight to the point." The young boy said as he looked at her. "Do you have a crush on me?" He asked.

Mal looked at him and four hundred different things ran through her mind.

She didn't know what to say. She wanted to say yes but didn't know if that was the right choice.

"Uh why do you ask?" She questioned.

"Well just cause of how you freaked out last time we talked and kinda just left." Carlos responded.

Mal began to think then remembered what Jay told her about how Carlos liked her.

Now the problem with that was the fact that Mal didn't know if she could trust him since she didn't know him that well.

She looked directly into Carlos eyes and said. "No."

Carlos sat there and felt a bit of pain inside himself but didn't show it. "Okay Mal." He said before getting up and heading down the fire escape and going straight to Jays house.

Once he reached Jays house he knocked and Jay opened it up and stepped out and shut the door.

"Hey man what's up?" Jay asked.

Carlos pushed him back a bit. "What the hell man!" He said as he was a bit angry.

"Woah calm down." Jay said.

"Mal doesn't like me so I basically seemed like an idiot when I brought it up!" Carlos snapped.

"Man..." Was all Jay managed to say.

Carlos stood there and began to slowly calm down.

Mal couldn't believe what she had just said. She kept looking around trying to figure out why she said no.

She had a chance to finally admit it but freaked out. It was that moment when Mal realized that she was afraid of how Carlos would react.

She finally accepted it and now she had to figure out what she was gonna do.
