Chapter 11

A/N Quick little note. The video above has nothing to really do with this story it's just a video that I feel is really well put together. Anyways enjoy Chapter 11.

Mal had climbed up a ladder and laid down on the roof not wanting to be down on the ground around everyone.

She wanted to be alone with her thoughts about Carlos and the whole Auradon thing.

She felt her feelings for Carlos were getting bigger and bigger. The days prior she had been teaching him how to fight and it was fun he was actually pretty easy to teach.

But the main thing Mal liked was the one on one time she had with him. Now they never had a true heart to heart conversation while they were training but she was hoping that they would one more conversation like that before they go to Auradon.

She felt that Carlos had changed her a bit since they met but not one hundred percent she was still the evil girl that she always was but now she actually cares about Carlos and mainly him.

She didn't know how to ask him out or if she was even going to. For the first time in her life she was accepting that she was afraid of something and that is the fear of actually being rejected.

As she laid on the rooftop she heard someone come up and she looked over and saw it was Jay.

"Yeah Jay?" She asked.

"Why are you up here?" He asked her as he went and sat beside her as she sat up.

"Because I wanted to get away from everyone down there." She stated.

"Why?" Jay questioned.

"Because I wanted to Jay." Mal responded.

"Okay but is Carlos a good fighter now?" The son of Jafar asked.

"Well duh I taught him." Mal said wanting to sound cocky and arrogant.

"Well hopefully he will be able to defend himself if he needs too." Jay replied.

It became quickly silent between the two until Jay broke the silence.

"So do you want Carlos or not?" He asked.

Mal quickly turned her head to face the son of Jafar. "Say what?" She asked.

"Do you wanna be with Carlos or not? You always seem like you do whenever your around him." Jay stated.

"Well I don't." She replied wanting to keep her feelings for Carlos a secret from him.

"Well that sucks cause he has a small crush on you." He replied.

The moment Mal heard that she smiled but quickly got rid of it as she didn't know if Jay was telling the truth or not.

"You're so lying." She said to him.

"No I'm not I'm actually serious." He said looking at her.

Mal had like four hundred emotions running through her body but she kept them contained.

"Wow." She responded.

"Yeah but look he didn't want me to tell you so don't say anything to him about it okay?" Jay asked.

"Sure but why did you tell me then?" Mal questioned.

"Because I'm trying to build some trust between us cause when we first met you basically hated me so I'm trying to build a friendship type thing up especially since you,me,Carlos and Evie will be spending a lot more time together." He said to her.

"Well thanks for telling me." Mal responded.

"No problem." Jay said. "Well I'm gonna go see ya later Mal." He said before getting up and going down the fire escape.

Mal laid back down smiling and this time it was a legit genuine smile no evil reasoning behind it for once.

She didn't care if it was a small crush the fact that Carlos had a crush even the smallest one on her made her smile and made her happy.

Meanwhile Carlos had been wandering around the Isle trying to find something to do until Jay ran up to him.

"Hey man!" Jay said as he ran up to Carlos.

"Hey what's up?" Carlos asked.

"Mal has a crush on you." The son of Jafar told him.

"What?" Carlos asked.

"I was just talking to her and I said your name cause I was talking about how the four of us are gonna be closer you know? You,me,Mal and Evie. And when I said your name she kept smiling." Jay stated.

"Oh." Carlos replied. "You didn't tell her about my small crush did you?" He asked.

"Of course not man." Jay replied. "That will remain our secret." He continued.

"Good." Carlos replied as they started walking beside eachother.

"So are you nervous about going to Auradon?" Jay asked trying to change the subject.

"Yeah I am like a lot." Carlos replied. "What about you?" The son of Cruella asked.

"A bit yeah." Jay responded.

Carlos was about to reply when Evie ran up to them.

"Hey guys." The blue haired girl said to them.

"Hey." Both Jay and Carlos said to her.

"Have you seen Mal?" Evie asked.

"Uh yeah she's on a rooftop but wants some tine on her own." Jay informed Evie.

"Alright." Evie responded. "Well what's up with you two?" She asked.

"Not much just talking about how we are nervous about going to Auradon." Carlos stated.

"Oh good you two are as well." Evie said sounding relieved. "I've been so nervous about it lately." She continued. "It's like a new chapter in our lives but the problem is we will just be coming back to this chapter once we get the wand." She said as the three were walking.

"True." Jay said.

"Well Mal has already told us about how her mother will drop the news on us at a random time so that doesn't help any of our nerves." Carlos added.

"Exactly but out of all of us Mal has to be the most worried." Evie said. "I mean she has to prove herself to her mother and this is her one chance." She continued.

"That's true." Jay said.

"Look the four of us are gonna work through this." Carlos said. "But later the four of us need to meet in Mals hideout cause I have something I really do need to say regarding all four of us." Carlos said.
