"Stay safe."

I woke up on a cold table and groaned. A bright light made me blink several times before my eyes were adjusted to the brightness. "Where am I?" I mumbled, pushing myself up. A pair hands helped me sit up right and my hands went to my temples before I slowly opened my eyes. Derek has helping me stay up. "Take this," I heard Deaton then say and he gave me something to drink. No idea what it was, but it seemed to help with the headache.
"Please tell me you killed that bitch," I mumbled as I leaned against Derek's body, too tired to keep myself up. "I may have indirectly killed her." I frowned and looked at the man next to me. "What do you mean?" "I bit her," Derek slowly said. "You did what? Derek, I-" I struggled finding the right words. "If, no, when Allison finds out that you were the one who bit her mother I won't be able to stop her from trying to kill you." I slipped my legs off the table and tried to stand on my own, which went surprisingly fine. "I know." He nudged my arm and told me to come with him. "Wait, what about my bike?" "Scott took it," Derek said and unlocked his car. "If that fucker crashes my bike, he's going to pay for it," I said while pointing at Derek. That bike is my baby.

"I'm saying we need a new plan, because next time one of us is going to be too hurt to heal." Scott was already there waiting for us and we discussed the events of tonight. "Ugh, I get it. We can't save Jackson," Scott groaned. "We can't really seem to kill him, either," I said as I sat down across from Derek. "I've seen a lot of things, but I've never seen anything like this. Every new moon's just going to make it stronger." "Can't we just give Jackson the bite again or something?" I asked the boys. "I don't know," Derek mumbled. "This is all my fault. I turned him." "Bullshit, you turned him into a werewolf. He's the Kanima because of something in his past," I said a little louder, making sure Derek would understand that none of this was his fault.
"That's a legend in a book. It's not that simple." "Why not?" I asked out of nowhere. Was Derek hiding something from us? Did he genuinly not know what to do? "Is there something you're not telling us?" Scott then said which made Derek look from me to Scott. "Why do you think I'm always keeping something from you?" I snorted as his remark, because he always does keep something from Scott and me as well for that matter.
Derek's eyes went to me and he clenched his jaw before turning to Scott again. "Because you always are keeping something from me!" "Well, maybe I do it to protect you." I sighed. They were not going to agree on any of this. "Doesn't being part of your pack mean 'no more secrets'?" "Secrets are there for a reason, Scott," I whispered and looked at him. "Go home, Scott." Derek didn't even look at the boy. "Sleep. Heal. Make sure your friends are safe. 'Cause the full moon's coming." Derek's eyes went to mine which made me frown. "With the way things are going, I've got a feeling it's going to be a rough one." Scott was about to leave. "Not so fast," I said and Derek gave me a confused look. "My keys, please." I held out my hand and Scott fished them out of his pockets before handing them to me. "Thank you."
