It felt like everyone I had trusted disappeared. There was no more me. Everyday in that hospital I felt like day after day, I was dying. Skye hadn't texted me since the incident with my mom, other friends I talked to vanished. "Haden, you can go home now " Dr.Ezquardo said. "But you will still have the disease, sadly we couldn't do anything" I just nodded my head, as if I really understood but I didn't. " who's taking me home? " I asked. "Someone volunteered, Skye " he said. "Ha," I said softly. The nurse that was in blue, came in with a wheel chair. " sadly, you're going to have to be in a wheel chair for a couple of weeks. All of the medicine that has been in your system has caused your legs not to function" she said. I sighed in disbelief as they helped me get into the wheel chair. Outside there was Skye. She had the most weirdest smile ever. " welcome home" she said. "Technically we aren't home yet, I'm still in the hospital Parking lot " I said while chuckling softly. She laughed and helped me in her jeep. "Anymore secrets?" She asked. "Well I found this" I said while pulling out the birthday card my dad had sent to me. "And my dad passed away a couple of years ago " I said. She looked at me, with her mouth wide open. " how could she do something to you like this?" Skye asked. "You're still a child you know?" I nodded my head. "does your mom know you're coming home today?" She asked. "Dr.Ezquardo was supposed to tell her, but let me crash at your place " I said. "Okay" We were driving for what had seemed like hours, but finally we arrived at her house. I felt myself start to cry, but somehow I held them back. Skye was able to tell something was up. "You good?" She asked curiously. "Who thought I'd be right here today, people walked out on me" I said. "It's okay, remember you have me " she said. I smiled, and realized she was right. She went to the back of the Jeep to get my crutches and wheel chair. "Which one? Sticks or wheels?" She asked. "Sticks are better, " I said. "you're stupid" she said while laughing. We went into her house and sat down and watched a bit of Netflix. I looked up and saw she had fell asleep. As I started to get up, I fell to the ground , going into another big sleep. "Here we go again" I heard her say. "Can you hear me Skye?" I asked. "Woah" she said. "Yea I can" she said. "it's happening again isn't it?" She asked. "Yea" I said. "Well venture on, I'll be here" she said. I left and ran down the street to my house, which seemed like forever. "Wait, I don't need my crutches?" I said. "That's weird" I said while still running. I get to my house and see my mom outside talking to some man. "When can you have the 10,000$?" He asked. "soon" she said. "Oh no" I said.
