*Two days later*

"Ready to go?" Brian says. For once you pick me up at my apartment.

"Yup," I reply, dragging my suitcase to the door. It's four in the morning, and I'm exhausted. I barely got any sleep last night because I was so excited to leave for London. I'll finally get to see Harry. Wait, but what if he's not there? He could be on tour...

"I'll put this in the car for you." Brian takes my suitcase, completely distracting me from my thoughts. He exits my unit and heads downstairs to the parking lot. I grab my jacket from the closet by the front door and put it on. I make sure everything is locked tight before I go downstairs to meet Brian.

"I'm so freaking excited!" I squeal like a little girl once I'm in his car. I buckle my seat belt and rub my hands together. Everything seems so surreal right now. I'm actually going to London, but with a person I really don't care for that much.

"Oh really? I couldn't tell." Brian smirks and I know he's joking. He starts driving, and the whole ride to the airport I have butterflies in my stomach.

"Welcome to O'Hare International Airport," he says to amuse me. I smile. He pulls into the parking garage and gets his parking ticket. He finds a spot as close to the door as possible, which isn't that far. We're on the third level, so we need to take an elevator down to the airport itself. Brian handles taking the luggage out of the car. I grab my suitcase and start walking towards the elevators. I'm about ten paces ahead of Brian, that's how excited I am.

"Hurry up!" I shout. Brian starts walking a bit faster, but not fast enough for me. C'mon!

"Don't worry, we'll make it to the gate on time. Our flight's at 6:30. It's only 5." He steps into the elevator and I press the 'G' button for 'Ground Floor.' The ride down is silent.

Surprisingly, the airport is almost deserted. Well, before we enter the gate it's almost deserted. Brian and I are walking towards the bag check line, holding hands, when I notice a group of teenaged girls staring at us. I stare back. One of them, a blonde, looks away, but the rest of them don't. The blonde whispers something to one of them and all of a sudden their eyes go wide.

"I think I may have found some of your fans," I whisper to Brian. He looks at the girls and then looks at me.

"Luckily there's only a few," he says. "We don't need a bunch of them following us around." He puts his arm around my shoulders. We're still waiting for the bag check line to move, but only two stations are open so it's taking a while.

"Um...excuse me?" someone behind us says. It's the blonde girl who was staring.

"Yes..." I say hesitantly. I glance at Brian and he shrugs and puts on a smile.

"Hey, how are you?" he says to the girl. She looks at him like he's crazy.

"And you are...?" she says to him. Brian looks taken aback. I don't blame him since I'm a bit confused myself. He isn't that famous, but it's still odd. The girl realizes he isn't going to say anything so she looks at me.

"You're Harry Styles' ex," she says nonchalantly. Brian and I look at each other and he stifles his laughter. That's right...you don't know... I feel my face start to pale.

"Well, I guess I am." I nervously chuckle. Fans still know who I am?

"Do you still like him?"

"Excuse me?" This time I'm the one who's taken aback.

"Do. You. Still. Like. Him." Her big blue eyes are staring right into my brown eyes. It's very creepy.

"Well..." Yes, I'm madly in love with him, but at the same time I hate him because he's stopped talking to me and I don't know why. Being in London will be the only opportunity I get to possibly see him and speak with him. "I will always be his friend, but right now I'm dating Brian."

"Oh. That's cool. Could I get a picture?" The girl pulls out her phone.

"Sure, of course." We take a selfie together, the girl says goodbye, and Brian and I get our luggage checked.

"It's so weird how she didn't know me but knew you. You didn't even date that loser, Harry Styles," Brian says. We're sitting at the gate waiting for the plane to arrive. "I love how you just went along with it though. You actually made it believable." Yup...my acting skills sure are great these days.

"Yeah...I know I'll never be famous so I thought 'why not' and went along with it." I look out the window, watching all the planes come and go. Only nine hours. Then maybe, just maybe, I'll see you.
