Chapter 4

Tristan's POV

330 days.

That's roughly 10 months. 47 weeks. 7,920 hours. 475,200 minutes. 28,512,000 seconds. That's how long it has been since I've seen or spoken to Carmen. I guess you could say my plan was going well. The fight definitely helped me to avoid her. When I said I wanted to break all contact with her, I was serious. I haven't said one word, or given her one glance since that day.

If I am being completely honest, I'm over Carmen. My career is going great, so I have a very busy schedule, and no time to reminisce on the days where I thought I was in love with her. Truth is, I was 13; I didn't know what love was. Hell, I still don't know. But a lot has changed in a year. Being forced to grow up in the spotlight has really made me mature. I wasn't Tristan Reed anymore. I'm now Tristan Reed: 14 Year Old Singing Sensation and Teenage Heartthrob.

I've decided it would be best to just focus on my music, my fans, and my family and friends. No more girls. I'm only fourteen, so it shouldn't be that hard.

"Tristan are you ready to go to the studio? They're waiting for us," I heard my manager, Tony, say.

"Yeah, just let me put on my shoes and grab a jacket." I grab my stuff and head downstairs to get in the car.

After 15 or so minutes we arrive to the studio. We quickly hop out of the car and head in. I greet all the producers and staff and go into the recording studio. I put on my headphones and grab my guitar. I close my eyes and that amazing feeling just overcomes me. I effortlessly strum at the strings as the words I wrote left my mouth. It's moments like these that I live for; when it's just me and my music.

Carmen's POV

730 days.

That's about 2 years. 24 months. 104 weeks. 17,531 hours. 63,113,852 seconds. That's how long it's been since that fight with Tristan. At first, I decided to let him explain, as I was being overdramatic. I called him seventeen times that day. Did he respond to any of them? No. Did he text or email me? No. Did he attempt to make any contact with me? Nope.

I have probably texted and called him a million times since that day, and he's never contacted me back. I am officially over him. I actually have been now for a while. About six or seven months after Tristan left, Tanner and I started talking. He became my best friend, and our friendship naturally turned into a relationship. We have been dating ever since, and I couldn't be any happier. I know I'm only fifteen, but I feel like I have matured immensely. I have my priorities straight, and I'm planning on attending Uni at Oxford. I've been studying like crazy, and my grades have never been better. Maybe Tristan moving was for the best.
