"Little Surprises around every corner, but nothing dangerous. Don't be alarmed."

Loxy found Fersia sleeping on the end of the 'big bead' in Jon's room and woke her up by gently touching her. She stretched her limbs and then sat up, sniffing. "Oh, hey! Want to play?"

"I was looking for Jon," Loxy said. "Have you seen him?"

"Sorry," Fersia said. "But his bed smells like him."

"Yeah, it's time to wash the sheets," Lester said coming out of the bathroom.

"Oh! I like the way Jon smells," Fersia said.

"Have you seen him?" Loxy asked.

"No," Lester said. He was wearing a nightshirt reminiscent of a different age, and was headed to bed. "Not since he's been sleeping in your habitat."

Loxy departed the room, Fersia followed. "Maybe he's out Honkey Tonkin?" Fersia asked. "Getting his Stray Cat Strut on?" Fersia was practically skipping along with her. "Can I sleep in your bed with you?"

"Yeah, sure," Loxy said.

Esfir was on the couch, reading. To get to her, Loxy had to step over campsites, where other people were already sleeping. "Seen Jon?"

"Nope. You don't think he's in that room upstairs, do you?" Esfir said.

"Oh! Let's go see," Fersia said.

Loxy shrugged, having looked just about everywhere else. Esfir and Loxy proceeded to the room under a normal gate, whereas Fersia ran a little ways off, came back, and ran a little ways off.

"You seem concern," Esfir said. "Can't you magic his position?"

"I am getting some kind feedback noise," Loxy said.

"Oh, he's playing with the Tulpa version of you!" Fersia said.

"Which means, what? You have to wait for an update from the Tulpa to know where he is and what he is doing?" Esfir asked.

"Pretty much," Loxy said.

"I love getting updates!" Fersia said. "It makes me feel warm and tingly all over."

They arrived at the door in question and Siri arrived on the surface. "Hello, ladies."

"Is Jon in there?" Loxy asked.

"He is not," Siri said.

"Would you tell us if he were?" Esfir asked.

"Absolutely," Loxy said.

"Could you tell us what's in the room?" Loxy asked.

"I cannot," Siri said.

"Wait wait wait," Fersia said. "You could tell us if Jon was in the room, but not what's in the room?"

"That's correct," Siri said.

"I want to try something," Esfir said, taking out what might be a cell phone. She sampled a selection of music: 'The Marriage of Figaro, by Mozart.'

Nothing happened.

"Sorry, thought that would work," Esfir said. "Saw it in movie once."

"Rachmaninoff?" Fersia asked.

The door clicked and came forwards slightly. An aroma, akin to an old library mixed with new car smell, accompanied a slight sound of air moving, as if the room had been sealed airtight. A light inside the room came on.
