"Martha! Martha! Du entschwandest. Ah, mein gluck namhmst du mit dir. Geht es hin wo du entshwandest."
Sometimes when you travel, and you're not grounded, you travel again. Jon found himself moving through worlds like flipping channels. He arrived and was caught by a lasso. Jon found himself suddenly with Cowgirl, and she was all excited to receive him till she learned he didn't have the cane, and so she opened a portal under him with a quick jerk of her lasso that sent energy down the length of the rope and allowed him to slip through, sending him tumbling into another world.

"Peter, wake up... How did we get here..." Lois asked. They were in a strange place, a stone castle kind of feel, as if this was where West held Dorothy captive, and they were naked and Peter went from groggy to full awake and all urgent, as if he had a realization of a life mission that he only had five minutes left to accomplish.
"I will explain everything, but first, let's get dressed... Meg, wake up, you got to get off me and get dressed..." Peter said.
"What happened..." Meg said, groggily.
"Peter," Lois said, in her demanding voice, hands on her hips.
"Seriously, we got to hurry," Peter said.
Dressed and back in the living room, Peter on the couch, with his wife standing, hands still akimbo, waiting for Peter to say something coherent. Sometimes, if she stood long enough, things usually became a bit clearer for her.
"So, I have a new friend, his name is Jon," Peter led with.
"When do I meet him?" Lois asked.
"You will never meet him," Peter said.
"What's wrong with him?" Lois asked, patiently, like a parent speaking to a kid.
"He's a magician," Peter said.
"A magician? Oh, Peter, I love magicians. Wait wait wait. A magician like David Copperfield, or a magician like Willy Wonka?" Lois asked.
"Seriously, let it go. He's the real deal, and he's partial to red heads, and you know that outfit you wear when we dance and sing in our opening number, I found it in his office on a real doll that looks a lot like you, and he's particularly obsessive enough to make things happen his ways, and he is always with one foot in one world and another foot in another, which explains Willy Wonka's office, as if it's hard for magicians to be in one world at the same time. It's a dimensional thing..."
"How did you meet and what were you doing in his office?" Lois said.
"I won a golden ticket," Peter said, hoping that would clear things up for both questions.
"Wait wait wait, back up," Lois said. "He's a real magician or a chocolatier?"
"Lois, you've read his books. I found the golden ticket in the leaflet at the back of the last book of the first trilogy, attached to the book cover, and I accidentally invoked the invitation sounding out the words," Peter said. "Completely accidental. I didn't knowing reading out loud was how it worked and also I didn't know what it was until I heard myself reading it, because that's how I read, but by then, it was too late, we were caught up."
"Caught up in what?" Lois asked.
"Oh, good, the potion's working," Peter said.
"Wait wait wait. I thought only kids could win the golden tickets," Meg said.
"And, that's why I took you with me," Peter said.
"Peter! That magician is horrible with kids," Lois said.
