It was a beautiful spring morning in the year 2060, and the world was at peace. Technology was at the frontmost of the world and with it, came an everlasting peace. The world was at peace that people lived simple lives, including that of a petite blonde who was celebrating her twenty-seventh birthday late as well as relaxing on a cruise ship with her parents. She stood out on the bow of the cruise liner staring into the darkening ocean waves as the sun began to set. She had a lot of things on her mind.
She'd just lost her position as chef at a restaurant she dreamt of working at since she was a little girl to a more qualified chef and her mother admitted that the reason they were going on a cruise was because her mother was sick.
[Meanwhile]
"Do you think we should have waited until after the trip to tell Elaina?" Her mother whispers to her father.
"Samantha, it's alright, just give her a little bit to process it." Her father explains.
"But she has been staring at the ocean all day, Alexander." Samantha whines a little.
"She's processing. It's going to be hard at the thought of losing you, Samantha, I went through the same when we found out." Alexander replies.
"I know..." Samantha breathes out with a sigh.
[Meanwhile]
Elaina sighs as she closes her eyes as she still stands at the bow of the ship. The wind whipped her blonde hair out behind her. She felt as if something was going to happen. She glances out towards the darkness and a massive cloud covering as the cruise liner unknowingly cruises past Tracy Island, the home of International Rescue that was about fifty miles west of their position. Elaina felt a pull in that location and she wasn't sure why. It began to rain and Elaina sighs and doesn't care. She remained standing there, regardless of how strong the rain got. A hurricane kicks up and rips through the cruise liner before any help could even arrive.
