Reader/(Y/n) Pov~

A barrage of laughter begins as the students take about 1.5 seconds to realize who our teacher was referring to. I can hear a few peers judging Midoriya and me.

"Good grades alone can't get you guys into the hero academy." someone says in the back.

"The two quirkless people want to go to a school that consists of students and staff with powerful quirks...." a girl, who I forgot the name of, states.

"That's hilarious!" a male remarks, making everyone chuckle at his unnecessary comment.

"Have you ever heard of dedication? At least we want to achieve great things!" I retort back, officially done with the everyday teasing. I quickly turn my head to the left when I hear Midoriya's voice. He is standing up for himself! So proud!

"Th-That's not necessarily true! Sure there is no precedent, but--" Izuku is cut off as Katsuki approaches him like a pissed off bull.

"COME ON, DEKU!" Bakugou shouts as he creates an explosion, making Izuku fly backwards. I gasp. Is the teacher going to do anything? Anything at all....?!

"What the hell Bakugou?!" He faces me and I try to prepare myself for the danger I just put myself in by covering my face. I realize that there has been no explosions directed towards me and I open my eyes. He just blatantly ignores me and continues ranting.

"You think you can rub shoulders with me?! Huh Deku?!" he yells with the most menacing look on his face.

"I wasn't saying I could compete with you! It's just been my dream since I was a little kid. A-And well...." Midoriya pauses. "There's no harm in trying...." he states shyly, his eyes facing the floor. I run over, trying to back him up.

"I mean, Midoriya's right! We can--" and I'm cut off once again.

"Try?! Try what?! The entrance exam?! You're both taking the exam just to try?!" Bakugou blurts out, a hint of amusement on his face. I open my mouth prepared to improv to get us out of this situation but immediately shut it, realizing that my plan would not help. I also realize that our teacher must be dead by now because he hasn't even attempted to stop this madness.

"What can you two even do?!" Katsuki brings up....a valid question. What can we do?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After a long and tiring day of schooling, I was beyond ready to take it easy.
"I am so ha---" I cut myself off with a yawn. "Happy that today is over and I can take a nap or two....or three." I walk to our home room class because I wanted to borrow that hero journal Izuku has been writing. I make my way to the room and find three uninvited guests.
"What's that Katsuki?" one of his friends ask. I shift my gaze to the journal that currently resides in the hands of Bakugou himself. They haven't noticed me yet......good.
"C-Come on. Give it back!" Izuku yells, wildly grabbing for his precious notebook. But, sadly, it doesn't stop the next event from happening. Katsuki creates a small explosion in the palm of his hand, burning the journal.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" a piercing shriek filled the air. I looked around to see who it was and realized....it was me. Ohhhhhh, that makes sense. I was wondering why everyone was staring at me like that! "I wanted to read that! Now it's burnt and ruined!" I mumble under my breath, flustered from the sudden attention. Apparently what I said didn't faze him. He huffed and began his second speech of the day.
"I'll be the first and only hero from this crappy public middle school. The first to win the honor of becoming a student at U.A. High. Guess I'm just a perfectionist." Katsuki finishes and begins to make his way to the window. My body moves on its own and I run as fast as I can to block him from doing what I think he is going to do. I made it to the window before he was able to and stood in front of it.
"I think that's enough, Bakugou. I know you are trying to look strong and cool in front of your friends but you are just being a prick." I don't exactly know where that came from but I must have some kind of death wish. Instead of throwing the journal out of the window, he flings it to the farthest corner of the class room.
"As I stated before, I want to be the only kid from this crappy school to get into U.A. You two don't even have a chance so give up and don't embarrass yourselves." he repeats himself as if I did not hear him the first time.
"Listen, if we don't have a chance, why are you so worried as to whether we try or not?" I ask him but he just places one of his hands on Izuku's shoulder and one on mine.
"Don't you dare get into U.A., nerds." he states as if he is daring us to try. If so, I accept. I'm not giving up on my dream just yet......or my shoulder that Bakugou is currently roasting. I shove him away in order to avoid third-degree burns and having to buy another uniform at the end of the year. I use this time to pick up the charred notebook that is laying in the corner and escape from the tense environment.
"You wanna be a hero so bad? I've got a time-saving idea for you." I turn around and notice Katsuki has directed his attention towards Izuku. I still don't understand why he dislikes him so much. He's such a cinnamon roll! "If you think you'll have a quirk in your next life.... go take a swan dive off the roof!" I watch as Midoriya and Bakugou have a showdown to see who has the most terrifying grin....and Bakugou wins with a grin so terrifying, someone might actually consider jumping off the roof in order to escape from him!!!
He exits the classroom with his friends. I am speechless as I place the journal on Izuku's desk.
"Thanks (Y/n)....." Izuku mumbles.
"Yeah, don't worry about it." I pat him on the back.
He mumbles once more "Idiot, what would happen if I really jumped off the roof?!"
"He would be charged for bullying you into committing suicide. Wait....was that a rhetorical question?!" I shut up after that and we walk in silence. Izuku seems to be thinking about something because he has this determined look. I had to call my mom so I stayed behind as he went through the tunnel. "Hey mom, I just wanted to tell you that I'm on my way home.....uh-huh.....yeah I--" I gasp. Slime seeps through the manhole and sneaks up to Izuku. There is a huge grimy, slimy monster that is about to attack my best friend and I have no quirk I can use to save him. I hang up on my mother and hope she doesn't lecture me about it when I get home. I really don't have time to think about that. I do the only thing that seemed sensible at the time.
"SOMEONE HEEEEELLLPPP!!"
Yep, that'll work.
