This is the actual story and takes place after dorms becomes a thing.
I'm creating a large timeskip because I want to progress the story to the point where dorms come in to play. I might have a few flashbacks here and there :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been a few months and I haven't told them yet. I should probably tell them. But what do I even tell them? I have two quirks now! Hope I don't get kicked out of U.A. for being a living anomaly! The lines in my sketch become more chaotic as I drown in a sea of trepidation.Do I tell a teacher about it? Maybe a friend I trust? I mean, Izuku found out about the extra quirk but that just makes me more nervous. I love Izuku to pieces but I know that he has a hard time keeping secrets, especially from All Might. Has he told him about it?!
"Boom, whaddaya think?!" The alien queen dangles a bright orange poster in front of me, nearly spilling my water all over my drawing.
"I-It's great." Her frightening entrance caused me to lose my train of thought and stab a hole through the paper. I frustratingly rip my attempt at a drawing from my notebook and and stuff it in my bag. No one must see that horrendous excuse for a drawing except for me...
"I need attention please!" She slams the poster down on my notebook. The force shakes the whole table in the process, fully tipping over the water cup. I had no desire to stop the water from spilling on the extra notebook paper I left on the table, but I will it to return to the cup before it can reach the poster.
I scan the poster and notice the most important phrases: "Halloween Horror Night", "Costumes Not Required But Greatly Advised If You Do Not Want To Be Ridiculed", and "Friday, October 30th".
"You could just say 'Costumes Not Required' and leave it at that."
"I'm warning people about what happens if they dare to come to a Halloween costume party with no costume." Mina sits down across from me, ignoring my lackluster response to her party poster. Clearly words do not work with this woman. I get up with my belongings, in an attempt to leave the common area, but a rough tug on my shoulder bag keeps me from moving.
"I know you're cranky because you didn't get much sleep all week, studying for tests and such—"
"How did—!"
"I've been in the kitchen fairly often. Lots and lots of 3 a.m. snacks, y'know? I saw your light on in your dorm as I walked past with enough chips to swim in." Mina looks more and more dejected as she confesses to me. Suddenly, she perks up and her eyes widen, "Don't tell Aizawa."
I chuckle. The dark clouds of the past few days disperse. I may look like a raccoon and feel like a raccoon's favorite delicacy but Mina still has the patience to deal with me. The least I could do is hear her out, even though she is unaware of the real culprit for my sleepless nights.
"Anyways, I'm going to need some help hanging flyers around school. This is the time for you to check if I made any errors so that we can fix it and avoid Monoma taunting class 1-A...again. Not like we need to give him a reason." Mina hands me a flyer prototype for me to fix. It's a little bland but nicely formatted. This is what I get for hearing her out. More work.
Mina began searching the room for someone who could help out with printing and hanging the flyers. Fortunately, several students were lazily lounging on the couches in the common area.
"I put B! I don't understaaaaaanndd!" Kaminari collapses on the arm of the couch in dramatic manner, seemingly exerting the last of his energy. He slowly slides down the arm head-first into the couch seat.
"It was C, for sure! All the others were grammatically incorrect, bro." Kirishima goes over to comfort Kaminari with his 'Bro, I'm so sorry you failed another test' hug.
"Are you sure you both talking about the same question? Question 29?" Tsuyu sits on the floor, casually scrolling through her phone amongst the chaos.
"That's funny. I think I got A for question 29..." I say, adding to the calamity. Mina quietly snickers behind me, almost causing me to lose my stoic composure. After a week chock-full of exams, everyone is ready for some de-stressing.
I slam the poster down on the center table, calling almost everyone's attention. Kaminari is stuck in meltdown mode before Bakugou successfully snaps him out of it.
"Look at the damn table, dunceface."
"It's a PARTAYYYY!" The extreme flip in Kaminari's mood is as obvious as night and day. "What am I gonna wear?!"
Although everyone is a little more reserved, the excitement is infectious. Little by little, people begin chitchatting about costumes and Halloween treats. It's sounding a little more like class 1-A in here!
~3rd person p.o.v.~
Somewhere in a small flat in Japan..."Martin!!" A very jubilant young woman jogs to a cellphone that's ringing on the other side of the house. "Your phone's ringing!" The caller ID says 'The Boss', causing the woman to hesitate before picking it up.
"H-hello? This is Martin's girlfriend. He seems to be busy right now, but when I get a hold of him I can let him know that you called."
Silence.
"Hello? If that's not okay, I can leave him a message....hello?" She tries again but it seems as if no one is—
"If you can just let him know that I have something to discuss with him and that it is of the utmost concern, that would be great." The sudden voice on the other side of the phone frightens the woman. Her shaky left hand knocks her perfume from the dresser.
"No problem! I'll let him know." She struggles for a minute to decide whether saying goodbye is necessary or if she should just hang up.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
Damn it! Do I have to be the most awkward person on the planet?! You couldn't just press the end button; you had to sit and think about it! That was the longest and most excruciating minute that I've ever experienced! So Stupid!
A tiny, 11-month-old boy wobbles into the room, grabbing onto his mother's leg for support.
"Hi cute little baby!" He laughs as he is lifted into her embrace. "Maybe you can tell me why mommy's so awkward, huh?" The little boy continues to giggle as she talks to him.
"Babe!" A distressed voice echoes throughout the flat as the man rushes into the house, slamming the door on his way in. He drops his belongings on the ground and almost snaps the bridge of his glasses in half with his books. He forgot about his important phone call with his boss at 3:35 pm. His boss is always prompt and finds that tolerance of untimeliness often leads to contumaciousness. That's how the boss would say it anyway. "Marissa!"
"What's up?"
"My boss didn't happen to—"
"Yeah, he told me to tell you that he had some important stuff to talk about. Maybe it's a promotion! You never know!" Marissa's eyes widen while she speaks and their baby boy smiles brightly and begins to clap his hands as if understanding everything that was said.
"Y-yeah, hopefully!" Martin grabs the phone and exits out the back door. His hands become increasingly shaky as he gets closer to his destination. Alright, let's do this.
Brrring. Brrring. Brr—
"I was hoping you would answer me on time, you absolute moron." The calm yet intense nature of the voice on the phone was all too familiar to him.
"H-Hello Ron."
