~Ch.7~

(Y/n)/Reader's pov~

Present Mic lives up to his name as his amplified voice reaches all corners of the spacious auditorium. The pro hero attempts to rile up the crowd but the audience was completely silent. It was pretty awkward until he started shouting again. Izuku begins to fangirl about him, until Katsuki shuts him up. I can't afford to be distracted, so I listen closely to his speech.

"You'll be experiencing a ten-minute long mock cityscape maneuvers!!! After this presentation, you'll each head to your assigned testing location! Bring along whatever you want!" Great! This is good. Even though there's probably enough moisture in the air and it's pretty humid outside, I want to be safe. I grab the two water bottles I brought with me and put one in my belt, the other in my hand. I'm so ready! The pro hero explained the rules of the course and then this boy with glasses asked for permission to speak.

"There appear to be no fewer than four varieties of faux villains on this handout! Such a blatant error, if it is one, is highly unbecoming for U.A., Japan's top academy!" the boy spoke with such seriousness. I have to give props to the guy for speaking so adequately in this huge auditorium, in front of so many people. He then turned to Izuku and called him out in front of everyone. Really?! I mean Izuku was mumbling a little...but embarrassing him in front of everyone?! I give the boy with glasses an annoyed stare, even though he definitely could not see me, and turn my head towards Izuku. I would comfort him if it was not for the hot-headed Bakugou in between us. I don't think our side of the auditorium needs any more attention. After Present Mic answered the question, he finished off with the U.A. High School motto, "Plus Ultra!"

As I make my way to my testing location, I realize that Izuku is going the same way as me. I slow down, so he can catch up to me. Hopefully we can calm down each other's nerves.

"Izu~kun, what's your testing location? You seem like your headed the same way as me." I wonder if they made a mistake in the system because people from the same school shouldn't be located in the same testing area. There was only me, Katsuki, and Izuku, so there definitely was a way to send us to separate locations. We hold our papers out, we're in the same testing area! I won't complain. We can cheer each other on as we beat the crap out of those mock villains!

"Yeah, I- uhh shouldn't have been mumbling so much. Sorry if it distracted you..." Izuku looked at the floor as he spoke, clearly ashamed after what occurred in the auditorium.

"No, not at all. Don't let what that guy said bother you! We have to focus on what's ahead." Right as I say this, we find our testing site. This mock city is huge! I wonder why they made so many  mock cities if they don't use them very often.

"Good luck, Izu~kun!" I start jogging in place as he walks closer to the entrance.

"Good luck, (N/n)!" Izuku gives me his award winning smile, even though he is visibly very nervous. I stretch and do some warm-ups as I watch the glasses boy hastily approach Izuku for no reason. It seems as if he frightened Izuku again...what is his problem?! He soon leaves Izuku alone, feeling dejected. I tap Izuku on the shoulder.

"You can do it, Izuku! Plus Ultra!" I smile and he gives me a small smile and a thumbs up.

I complete my stretches and jog in place to release some of my nerves.

"And....begin!!" Present Mic shouts from the top of a building.

Wait..what?!

"What's wrong? The test started!! Run! Run!! The die is cast!" The pro hero screams and uses exaggerated movements to show the level of urgency. Everyone bolted into the grounds at the same time, realizing that it's now or never. Everyone except for Izuku, who was lagging behind.

I felt like a lost toddler in a grocery store as I stood in the huge mock city. I swerved quickly to the right to try and get at least one robot. I already hear them being destroyed in the distance...I have to catch up! I find a two-pointer and open the top of my bottle. Before I even get to properly damage the bot, a girl with a teleportation quirk steals my water bottle from my hand! If I try to go after her, I'll be wasting precious time. Whatever...minor setback. What really set me off is when she had the audacity to teleport in front of me again, making me lose my two points to another student.

"Thanks for the drink!" She took a sip and disappeared again. I'm going to get nowhere if this keeps up...

Only 5 minutes left and I only got four faux villains, two 2-pointers and two 3-pointers. My quirk really helps, especially against robots, but that's only 10 points!! I'm running out of time. As I rummage for a machine to destroy, I hear a huge sound, the ground trembles under my feet. I peek out from behind a building and see a ginormous faux villain. It must be the obstacle that Present Mic was talking about. I stood in awe. As it neared, I began to make my plan of escape, but then I saw the nice brown-haired girl from earlier. She's stuck under some rocks and robot parts and that 0-pointer is getting too close for comfort. Everyone, except Midoriya, runs away from the fake villain, totally ignoring the girl in the process. I don't know what he plans to do. I begin to run towards them, not really having a plan myself. Out of nowhere, Izuku leaps into the air and completely destroys the humongous 0-pointer. How in the world?! I know he did it to save the girl, so I don't have any time to waste. I have no water left, so I push past the limits of my quirk to free her. I frantically break and remove the pieces of the robot from her lower body. I feel extremely light-headed again, but there is no time! Izuku's falling from the sky at an increasingly fast pace!! The brown-haired girl used a large piece of a faux villain and brought herself up from the ground. She saved him and they both fell to the ground. I didn't even have the time or energy to register what just happened. All I knew was that I definitely did not have enough points to pass. I laid on the ground, dehydrated and still in shock.

"Time's up!!!"

I sigh and slowly sit up.

It's over, this test and my chances of getting into U.A.

If you could have any quirk or supernatural power, what would it be?

I would definitely have some type of water quirk or power. Probably similar to water bending in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
