The Meeting.
After an hour of trying,Mace finally gave up trying to win me over. I guess someone can only take so much rejection. We stayed in the rec. room for an hour, just fooling around and playing games. I learnt so much about Molly and Mace in such a short time and have realised they are great people to be with.
When Molly and I both began to yawn, we decided to make our way to the dorm after a quick goodbye and hug to Mace first.
"I'm sorry Alex and Lola didn't show." Molly apologised for the millionth time tonight.
Alex and Lola were Molly's friends that also studied here, they were supposed to come tonight and I would have met them, but sadly they were both stuck in detention.
"It's fine Molly." I tried to convince her."I'm sure I'll meet them soon, maybe even tomorrow?"
"Yeah, maybe"
As we neared the dorm, Molly stopped.
"You not coming in?" I asked confused as to why she was standing by the door.
"I gotta ring tom."
"Tom?"
"Yeah, my guy of the week?"
"Oh yeah." I remembered. " why though?"
"It's the end of his week." Molly replied cheekily, throwing me a wink.
I started to giggle as I began to undress and get ready for bed. When I was under the duvet, and my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light.
- - - - -- - - - - - - - - -
Bright.
The one word described my whole vision as soon as I opened my eyes. Molly must have come to bed and left the blinds open. I climbed out from beneath the covers and scanned the room for Molly. Her bed was slept in but she wasn't anywhere to be seen.
I quietly tiptoed into the hall, checking each way for Molly.
"Molly!" I whispered, walking down the hall. I tried again and again but to no avail. Where is she?
I felt a unfamiliar hand grab my shoulder and quickly turn me around. Before the stranger could utter a sound, I let out a high-pitched squeal. The stranger, who had scared the living day-lights out of me, started to laugh, and I felt a hot, red blush creep up my neck.
The stranger was dressed in a worn-out, grey t-shirt and red and blue, checkered pyjama pants. His hair was scruffy and looked like he had only just woke up. But one certain thing that stuck out were his eyes.
They were a soft, ocean blue, that seem to hold so much emotion and so many stories. I felt I could stare at them for hours on end and be completely lost to the world. It took some several seconds to realise, he was still laughing but not as powerfully.
After he caught his breathe, he stopped laughing completely and spoke.
"I'm sorry." He said still smiling. "I didn't mean to scare you." He let a minuscule grin tug on his lips."I'm Alex."
So this was Molly's friend.
"You're Alex?"
"Last time I checked." He cheekily answered, grinning again. "Why?"
"I'm Ali, Molly's new roommate."
"Well, Ali..." He spoke holding out his hand."Nice pjs." I completely ignored his hands, as I was so embarrassed and quickly crossed my arms over my chest.
"Um..thanks?" I muttered, still completely embarrassed. Alex just continued to smile, and gave me a short nod.
"Well, I better go" I said, barely above a whisper. Before turning around and hurrying away. However, I still felt his eyes burning into my back.
Alex POV
I watched after her, as she walked away. I have to admit she was pretty, and the view from the back wasn't bad either. Only when she was completely out of sight, did I head back to the dorm.
As soon as the wooden door creaked open, I heard Molly's voice.
"Where's he now then?" She pestered Mace.
"I'm right here" I answered saving Mace. Molly let out a sigh and turned to me.
"I just wanted to know where you were last night, Alex?"
"Detention, I told you"
"And I believed you, until I asked Lola and she said you never showed up." Damn it, Lola.
I wasn't really at detention, I was practising my power in the gym, but if Molly knew that she would flip and tell me how unsafe it was.
"You were supposed to help me meet the new girl, my roommate."
"Ali?"
"Yeah, she so nic-." She paused, realising something. "Wait, how did you know her name?"
"I met her."
"When?"
"Like..." I stopped to check my watch."...two minutes ago."
"Oh right, well did you like her?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "Yeah, she seemed okay."
"Ooh-la-la, has Alex-walex got a crush?" Spoke Mace in stupid baby voice, reaching out to pinch my cheek, but I slapped his hand before he could.
"Ouch, dude, that hurt." He whined, rubbing the forming red patch on his hand.
