I opened the door to allow the movers in when they arrived. I went and poured me a fresh cup of coffee when Dee came wobbling down the hall looking glum. "I'm ready when you are,"  I shook my head and walked back into my bedroom "When the movers get here let me know," she smacked her lips and begin to mumble under her breath again "Say one mo' thing up under your breath and imma throw something at yo' ass. Come on try me, say something else smart. I dare you," she cleared her throat and went into the kitchen. I grabbed my Bluetooth and placed it in my ear and called the office. I told Celine I wouldn't be in today and she knew what to do with my calls if there were any emergencies.

Celine told me that she had everything covered. I then disconnected my call and got dressed. The movers came thru the hall and I told them what all I needed to be moved. I told them if they needed anything to hit me on my cell. I grabbed my keys and walked out. Dee and I hit Wal-Mart and everything she pointed at I bought. It was nice to see her smile finally. She was enjoying this a little too much. I think I spent well over six hundred dollars that day. I then took her over to Mommy and Me and bought her some new maternity clothes because I was tired of them damn sweats and that raggedy nite shirt. We then stopped by the mall and I tried to buy her some more maternity clothes the more expensive and more appealing. "Momma, I don't like this stuff," I looked at her "Look, you will look your best. I can't have my child walking around looking like she don't belong to nobody. Now get yo' black ass back over there and find something decent," Dee was working my last nerve but I could understand if just a little because I know or knew what it was like to be pregnant. With yo' hormones raging all out of control and shit.

I looked at her as she rummaged through the racks and kept huffing and puffing like she was not having a good time. I threw my hands up and said "Fuck it, bring yo' ass because you are starting to piss me the fuck off," she looked at me with tears in her eyes and I didn't give two shits about her damn hormones. We walked out to the truck and I threw in some D.M.X. and mashed out.

We ended up at Home Run Inn Pizza where I ordered a large pepperoni and a Pepsi. Dee just said there nursing her Sprite and every once in awhile she would giggle. "What the hell is wrong with you? These white folks looking at you like you need medication," she looked up from her lap "The baby is kicking, I think he smells the food," I looked at her and took a sip of my soda "So, you know it's a boy," she laughed "No, actually I don't. I just feel it within  my spirit," I shook my head "What else do you feel in your spirit," Dee looked down at her belly "Momma please don't make me go back to Cali without my baby. I wouldn't know what to do without him momma. The first few months of a child's arrival is knowing his mother. I have a feeling he won't know me when I get back," I slammed my cup down "Do you hear yourself. Answer me this do you not trust me Dee? I'm the same one that you call on when you need money. I'm forever there for any and everything you ask for but yet and still you wanna treat me like dog shit," Dee went to say something but I stopped her "You know what I'm tired, you're concerned that the baby won't know you. What you think imma do Dee brainwash him or some shit. You know what, I'm not finna do this with you," I stood up and threw a few dollars on the table "Here's the keys, I'll take the Metra," I threw my cap on and left Dee sitting there rubbing her belly.
