Alexis' POV
"What? Ashton questions me as I stand up from my chair.
"That's my aunt and uncle." I say pacing around the floor of the dining room. He looks up, eyes wide as he looks at his phone. "My mom must've not had enough money to keep us both, so she chose me to keep and gave you away." I scoff. "I'm so sorry."
"It's okay. It's not like I even know her anyway." He shrugs slightly.
"Well, I'm gonna ask mom." I dial her number with my steady fingers.
Oh, sweetie, I was concerned. Are you okay?
Save it mom, tell me right now am I the only child?
Well, you see-
So, Ashton is my brother?
Your twin. Yes, sweetie. I hear her sigh on the phone. I didn't want you to find out like this.
Were you ever going to tell me?
Well, um. Not exactly. I can hear a shuffle behind the phone. Ashton is your twin, I couldn't financially support him, I had to let him go to have a good life. I didn't know I was having twins, they didn't see him during ultrasound. When the doctor said there was another baby I was completely upset and stressed. I had to choose between you two, I didn't want to. But I knew he had to have a better life than the one I could've given him. I heard her sigh and sniffle through the phone.
Okay, well goodbye mom. I end the phone call and look back up at Ashton. "So, she said that she couldn't give you the life you desired since she didn't have the money to support us both financially." He nodded in an understand way, his brown eyes gleaming at me. "And you're my twin." He chuckled a bit.
"I kinda assumed. We look very similar." I laugh at his response.
"So are you moving into my aunt and uncle's house?"
"I'm moving to our aunt and uncle's house Monday, yes." He exaggerates a bit in his speaking manner.
"Well, I can't wait!" I stop and realize something, "Our aunt and uncle knew and never told us." He shakes his head and laughs.
"Oh, stop." He laughs. "At least we know each other know." He walks over to me and ruffs up my hair as he walks into his room. I follow him into his cream painted room, with white sheets and two bedside tables in a dark brown color.
"You have a lot of catching up to do." I say to him. "All the sixteen years of memories we've missed out on." I laugh. "Let me start with my two best friends, Chloe and Luna."
Tonight is gonna be full of talking and explaining so many different types of stories and ensembles of drama.

Kaden, I know. I'm going home today. Don't worry. I say to him smiling from ear to ear. I am going home today, Ashton is going to drive and I'm going to fly. Speaking of which, my ride dropped me off. There's someone I need you to meet when I fly back in. I giggle and wave at Ashton with both of my bags in my hand and my phone on my ear. Ashton drives away in his red BMW. I end the call with Kaden and, and walk into the airport and after a few minutes of going through security and bag checks I am able to board the plan.

The plane ride was very relaxed. I took a nap and begun to read The Maze Runner. I walk off the plan and text Chloe and Luna to pick me up. 12:43 I read, we didn't have school today and I smile knowing that I won't have to do much homework when I get home.
