Alexis' POV

It's the end of the week, and today is the gala. Saturday at 7 PM, and I'll finally be able to meet his parents. I smile to myself and check the time. It's 9 AM, I read to myself. I look over to my bedside table and pick up my phone and start to text Chloe and Luna.

Hey girls, want to come over and help me get ready for the gala? I send the text with a click of my finger.

They respond almost immediately and I look over. Sure, I can pick up Chlo. Luna said in the group chat. I get my make up brushes out and put them in a jar along with my many pallets of eyeshadow and powder. I lay out my straightener, my hair curls, and wands. A few minutes later both Chloe and Luna tumble out of the car and walk over to my door and ring the doorbell. I walk out of my room and go to the front door and open it. Luna and Chloe await me while they jump up and down, giggles tumbling out of their mouth.

"Oh my god, we are so excited!!" Chloe said smiling at me and she rushes herself and Luna into the house and up the stairs. I follow shortly after them and I sit down on the stool of my vanity. I brush out my brown hair and I quickly tie up sections of it to do a light wave. "Do you need help?" Chloe says rushing over to me as she picks up a Anastasia Beverly Hill's eyeshadow pallet. "What color is your dress?" Luna drops her stuff onto my bed.

"I forgot to ask, what color is your dress?" She emphasizes.  I put my curler down and I jump up from my stool. I rush over to my closet and pick out my light pink dress with a laced corset top. "Oh my gosh!" Luna squeals and Chloe puts the palette down. "That's so cute!"

"Well we better start getting ready!" I say as I chuckle and walk back to my stool and I take the wand back in my hand and begin the curling.

A good two hours pass by, including: singing, doing make up, curling our hair, and getting dressed. I toss on white heels and finally pin back a piece of my hair. Lastly, I put on my shaved pearls and I look at Chloe and Luna.

"You look..." Chloe says, jaw dropped.

"Hot." Luna finishes her sentence as they look at each other and smile, constantly giggling. "Oh yeah, your brother asked me to go with him yesterday at school, surprise!" Chloe and I look at her and smile.

"Oh my god! That's so exciting!" I say, Charles asked Chloe to go to the dance, and promised many cliche things for her. Of course, Chloe said she'd go as long as Charles didn't make any moves on her. But Kaden said to me he couldn't promise that. I chuckle to myself.

"So, Charles and Kaden are providing rides?" Chloe asks me. I nod to her and look at myself in the mirror. We all hear a ring at the door and we walk down the stairs carefully, making sure not to rip our dresses or trip on our heels. Luna is wearing a purple dress that hangs right under the knee, paired with black heels and a white necklace around her neck. Her black cascading down her back, in little ringlets, whereas her make up was simple and neutral. Chloe was wearing a simple red dress, her caramel hair rushing into straight but curled at the end. She wore white pearls, a simple and elegant make up look, and she paired the dress with red velvet heels. Charles, Kaden, and Ashton walk up to the door. Ashton puts puts his arm around Luna and she blushes as Ashton leads her to the limo. Charles holds his hand out to Chloe and kisses her knuckles. He smirks at her and brings her to the limo as well. As for Kaden and I, he looks at me up and down and smiles at me. He brings me into his loving arms in an embrace, I hug him back, letting his cologne come into my scents. He kisses the top of my head and leads me to the white limo parked in my front yard on the street. I step in as Kaden follows after me.

"Hello, Alexis!" Kaden's mom says and smiles at me. She holds her hand out to me, "I'm Mrs. Amber, it's nice to meet you. Kaden talks so much about you, from your ha-" Kaden cuts his mom off as Kaden's dad holds his hand out and I shake it. Kaden puts a hand on my knee and I look up at him and smile. I kiss his cheek and before we know it we arrive at the clubhouse where the gala is being thrown. We are immediately welcomed by many older couples.

"Kaden!" I hear an older lady call. "I haven't seen you in days, I've become to worry about you, dear." Kaden hugs this older lady and smiles at me.

"Grandma, this is my beautiful girlfriend, Alexis." Kaden says as he shows his grandmother me. I smile at her and hold out my hand to shake. She shakes her head.

"He talks so much about you. You know, he doesn't give you justice." She winks at me and hugs me, I hug her back. Her short stalky figure embracing my tall body. She backs away and I smile at her. "Well, I'm going to go find your grandfather, even after fifty years he doesn't stop exploring." She laughs to herself and walks away towards the stairs. Kaden looks at me and hugs me.

"She is so sweet." I say smiling to him.

"I love my grandma, she was there for my whole life. Never left, never moved, never did anything to hurt me." Kaden says kissing my forehead and looking down at me. I nod and smile against his chest leading us towards our table reserved for six. I sit down in between Ashton and Kaden. I look at Luna and Ashton and smile to myself. They are so cute, I think to myself. Kaden pokes my side. "What are you thinking about, gorgeous?" I blush and look at Kaden's cute face, his blue eyes rippling with waves.

"Just about how good of match makers we are." I wink at him and he chuckles, his deep voice mellowing. He leans over to my ear and smiles.

"We're cuter though." He laughed a bit and kissed my forehead. I nod and giggle a bit. A few minutes later and a piano player has started playing mellow music with solid taps of the piano player's nimble fingers. There was a ballroom dance going around. The kind of ones you would imagine are in Cinderella. I smile and look at Kaden. "You want to dance?" I smile and nod to him. I then remember, I don't know how to dance. I frown. "I can lead, my sweet." As if he knew what I was thinking, I then smile and jump up from my chair. I look around and see that Ashton and Luna are are talking and smiling at each other, getting to know each other even more. Charles and Chloe are dancing on the ballroom floor, swiftly but carefully dancing in sync. Kaden grabs my hand and leads me onto the dance floor. He puts an arm around my waist and another latched with my hand. I put my other hand on his shoulder and I smile at him. Letting him lead me. A few minutes go by and Kaden's parents go on stage and they both look at me.

"We'd like to thank everyone for coming to his ceremony party." Mr. Amber says smiling at the crowd. Mrs. Amber takes the mic from him and smiles at us.

"We'd also like to thank our handsome son, Kaden, and his beautiful girlfriend, Alexis Buttons." Mrs. Amber smiles at us and I grab Kaden's hand in mine and look at him with love in my eyes. "She is going to change this business. Once and for all." I look around, as if time is paused. I'm going to change the Amber's business, what does this mean? I question myself and look around, as if time ticked slower.
