"Let me see my fucking wife!" Leo yelled, his hands raking through his hair.

"Sir, she technically isn't your wife yet, so I—" the woman said nervously.

"I don't give a shit! Let me see my fiancé then!"

"Sir, I have to kindly ask you to lower your—"

Leo leaned in, becoming uncomfortably close to the woman that worked at the front desk. "I'll ask you one more goddamn time before I slit your fucking throat myself. Let. Me. See. Samantha."

*

"Hi, baby." Sam squeaked weakly, taking Leo's hand into hers.

"Hi, doll. You're here because you passed out and you cut your head a bit. You've got to get some stitches." Leo said softly, his eyes filled with tears that were just waiting to spill.

Sam only nodded in response, unable to speak.

"Princess, I need you to listen very carefully, okay?"

The young woman nodded, her heart aching with loss.

"I did something bad, something really bad, to protect you, okay? It was just to protect you. And I need you to help me."

Samantha furrowed her eyebrows together, confused. "What do you mean?"

"Remember that night you were crying over Madison?" Leo whispered, his eyes red.

His girl nodded slowly, still confused of what the man was trying to say.

"You were hurt...and I-I didn't want her to hurt you again because I l-love you so..."

Leo's voice faded out as Samantha remembered what had happened on that night.

FLASHBACK!

"Baby, I promise you, whoever made you cry like this will never see the light of day again. Just say okay." He whispered softly, stroking her hair.

"Okay." She whispered hoarsely.

"Promise you won't get mad at me for it." Leo sighed, rocking the girls small frame back and forth. Samantha nodded and sniffed, wiping a few tears away with the back of her hand. "Okay...I...I P-Promise."

END.

A sick feeling of realization came over Samantha, and she felt her body begin to tremble. Quickly snatching her hand away from her fiancés, she sobbed.

"Y-you killed her." She whispered, shaking her head in disbelief.

"Baby, it's okay, just don't tell so we don't grow apar—" Leo pleaded.

"You killed her...you killed my best friend."

"For us!" Leo yelled, beginning to become angry.

"I-I..." Samantha stuttered, her heart sinking. The love of her life was a killer.

The love of her life was a killer.

"I-I hate you." She whispered, tears streaming down her face.

Leo shook his head, taking his hand and placing it on Samantha's cheek, carefully wiping away her tear. "You don't mean that."

"Help!" Samantha screamed with all of her might, pushing Leonardo off of her.

"Shut the fuck up, Samantha! Don't do this! You promised me you wouldn't get mad! You promised me!"

At this point, the police had rushed in. They knew Leo had done it, he hadn't covered up his tracks well enough. They also knew he would be dumb enough to tell Samantha. They stood outside the door waiting, waiting to hear the woman's screams, so that they could pull the man she had once loved away from her.

And as they carried him away, his hands cuffed and his cheeks red, blood dripping from the cracks in his lips, he yelled. He told Samantha how much he loved her, that he would get out, and that he'd find her when he did.

Samantha didn't say a word.

She didn't love him anymore.
