Diego's POV
I watched Shannon slowly fall asleep against my chest. She was so perfect. How did I get so lucky so fast? Everything was coming together. After another episode or so by myself I felt my phone vibrate on the bed.
I picked it up and read the new notification.
Message:
Val💗: Hey baby😌❤️ just heard you were in the hospital ! are you okay?
She just heard? What the fuck? that was over a week ago.
(Me->Val💗): Im fine.

I threw my phone across the bed in frustration. How was I gonna do this? I felt Shannon move her head lightly and I quickly felt bad for waking her up. She lifted her head up and looked around.
Her eyes fell on my face and she smiled wide.
"Morning. Again." She giggled.
"Morning weirdo, how was your nap?"
"Fine." She rested her head on my lap.
"We should do something today." She was staring off into space.
"Sure." I agreed.
"What do you want to do?"
"It's up to you."
She took a few moments, looking at the ceiling, to think. Finally her eyes lit up and she locked eye contact with me.
"The new Insidious movie is out and I realllyyyy want to see it." She shoot me the puppy dog eyes.
I hated horror movies, but I couldn't say no to her.
"Mkay" I got up to get ready.
"Do you think I need to put on makeup?"
I looked her up and down and shook my head 'no'.
"You like fine as fuck and if you look and better i'm not gonna want you around other guys."
Her face became red and she layed down.
"Hurry up" she giggled
I nodded my head and walked into her bathroom. I took a quick shower and changed back into the clothes I had already been wearing.
After I finished my hygiene I walked back into Shannon's room. I saw her sitting on the bed with my phone in her hands. She looked up at me and her eyes were filled with water and her face had streaks of tears falling down them.
"What happened?" I asked, running over to her.
She threw my phone at me, wiping tears from her face. I grabbed my phone and saw my texts with Valarie opened. They were from a few nights ago.

Val💗: Heyyyy babbyyy
(Me->Val💗): Hey sexy
Val💗: You should come over daddy
(Me->Val💗): say no more , on my way👅

"Shannon, listen It was nothing," I bursted out.
"Noothing Diego? That was the day after I visited you in the hospital and told you how i felt about 'us'. But obviously that didn't mean anything." More tears exploded from her eyes. I could see how bad she was hurting.
My heart dropped to the floor. I didn't ever want to hurt her. I promised her I wouldn't. I should have never fucking done that, i didn't want to. I was fucked up at the time. I didn't want Valarie, I want Shannon. But I had been high off xans and I didn't want to take advantage of Shannon. I was so fucking stupid.
"Shannon, please, let me explain-" I tried to tell her the full story.
"No Diego. It's fine, you can explain it to Valarie." She got up from her bed and started walking towards me.
"I though maybe for once someone new in my life could change it for the better. You're just like everyone else." Her voice was shaking and she was now crying uncontrollably.
"No Shannon! I was fuc-"
"Diego, just leave." She pointed towards the door.
I started at her for a second, hoping she would change her mind. I wanted so bad to fall to my knees and have her let me explain it all, but I knew that was not happening.
I grabbed my beanie off her bed and walked slowly out her room. I turned around to say something but before I could she shut the door behind me.
I fucked up big time.
