"Professor Dumbledore!!" Pippa screached into the unsuspecting Headmaster's office with her fistfulls of scrunched up paper.
"Professor...sir...I have...hold on...lemme catch my breath..."
Dumbledore slowly moved the delicious fig biscuits he had bean previously enjoying prior to Ms Drake's abrupt interuption into the drawer below his desk.
"Please... he mumbled between chewing "have a seat Ms Drake"
"Thank you sir"
As Pippa caught her breath she took in her ambience.
Wow this is exactly like my dream, or should I say my nightmare. Even the candles are the right shape and in the same bloody order! But i've never been here before...
"Looks like your vision doesn't it Ms Drake?" Dumbledore piped in.
"Oh yeah, Pippa repiled a little suck in thought, I guess it kinda does"
"I should say so considering you were in here all the time as a little girl"
"Right yeah...wait what?!"
"You father used to sit you right in that chair, Dumbledore pointed to the chair opposite Pippa, and bounce you on his knee! You would do this little smile and oooh it just brighted up my day it did!"
"You...you knew my father?"
"Yes...he was a great man, a humble Wizard and devoted to you and your Mother. I was quite destrought when I found out the news. Hence why I hired you as a matter of fact."
"Back track just a tad Sir, I'm not quite following" Pippa responded as her hands and face became clamy
"When your father passed almost a year ago, your Mother contacted me...concerned"
"Professor, I'm not sure I want to disscus this with your right now" Pippa said becoming more defensive.
"I apologise Phillipa. I know it must be hard. But I'm sure there is a reason to your visit? Don't get me wrong I always enjoy the company"
Shaking off the previous few statements Pippa smoothed out the pieces of paper and cleared her throat
"I want to show you these, I found these in a erm...room...they can't possibly be for the students.!"
Dumbledore gestured for Pippa to come closer and she handed him the pages. She continued.
"I erm thought you should see them personally Sir, as the contents are quite erm interesting."
"Indeed they are Ms Drake" Dumbledore remarked adjusting his moon shaped specticles on his long droopy nose.
"Well...Sir?"
"Well...unless this was your intention Ms Drake...they are for all intents and purposes...blank"
With a small fit of nervous laughter Pippa responded
"No, that's impossible...I..I..I read them and and I saw these hooded people come from a green fire place and they were casting spells at me and I just ran as fast as I could and a door just appeared and I locked it behind me and who should show up? None other than Boo Radley himself out to ruffle my metaphorical feathers and we got into this fight and I gave up and ran here!!"
Dumbledore seemed puzzled "....Boo Radley?"
"This muggle book, look that's beside the point Professor! Something is happening, and I think I may be the cause or centre of it, and I don't know what to do."
"How long have you been here Ms Drake?"
"About 3 months Sir"
"You don't remember Hogwarts at all?"
"What do you mean?"
"Phillipa, it was no accident you running into my office today, instictively knowing where it is."
"But the pages...the people in hoods..."
"May all have been real my dear, but you need to come to terms with what has happened in your life. Pippa you have a rare gift, As a Witch who never offically had been taught in a wizarding school, there were...things that had to be taken care of."
"I don't understand"
"When you were little, your Father and Mother and I came to an arrangement. It was far too dangerous to have you taught in a public wizarding school. Your Mother insited on a muggle education while your Father and I wanted you to have every avaliable oppertunity to grow and develop your powers. So you came here for weekly lessons with me. I taught you to control your powers and how to harness your abilites in a sustainable way."
"I do...remember...something...why is it so hard to remember!"
"After each lesson, I had to use a mild obliterate spell, so much so you would not be fully aware of your newfound knowledge but enough that it would be ingrained into your subconcious"
"You...My father approved of this...My Mother...you all used me! As a toy! Why would you...."
"To keep you safe Phillipa"
"Safe!? Bloody Safe?! I have been both having the most amazing time of my life in a place where I feel I belong and feel accepted. I am living a life away from my well meaning but smothering Mum who thought I was on the verge of a mental breakdown over the death of my father. Yet simultaneously, I am treated like a child who can do no good by your so called Professor Snape while having these lucid nightmares that seem like a b grade horror film, paranoid out of my mind!
So Tell me. What the FUCK am I safe from Headmaster?!"
The silence echoed through Dumbledore's office and down the corridoor following a previous wordy outburst.
Dumbledore, after some time rose from his velvet throne like chair, sighed and removed his glasses, reaching into his drawer.
"Fig Biscut?"
Pippa hesitantly picked up the cookie and whispered "Thank you"
"Now, lets started from the begining Phillipa. There is so much you don't know"
