A week later and still Percy didn't feel any better since that night. It was getting harder and harder to restore his energy. He knew his time was nearly up. There really wasn't much he could do about it either. Every now and then his form would either flicker into an etheral version, or he would start glowing.

"Artemis. I need to go before the Council. Otherwise, if I die like this, I may explode...literally. And if I do it near your Hunters, they definitely won't survive the blast."

Artemis nodded. She knew this meeting would decide his fate, and she felt like it might not turn out well. "We will be taking Thalia, and I will have the other boy, Di'Angelo there as well." If Percy was surprised, he didn't show it.

"Daughter, to what do we owe this meeting to?" Zeus asked when everyone was settled.

"We need to discuss the fate of Percy Jackson."

The Council looked at her in shock. Zeus frowned, but Poseidon spoke quicker. "What do you mean, his fate?" he growled.

"It's not what you think, Uncle. I have to wish to see the boy dead. In fact, I'm truly hoping we can resolve this issue in a more beneficial manner. The demigod in question," she said, motioning to Percy who knelt by her throne. "He is dying. Quite literally in fact, due to his power. His two options are to die, in which his power will surge outwards afterward, or become an immortal. And note, I say immortal, but he does NOT have to become a god.

"I want to emphasize that because he does not wish to acquire any more power than he already has. The only reason he has even staid alive this long is because he is partially immortal. I say we make him immortal, to lead our Guardians in battle for millennia to come. Not only will it help ensure our reign will never end, but it also ensures our children's protection on a far better scale than currently or without him."

At this idea, the Council looked even more stunned. The Man Hating goddess proposing helping a man? Such ideas were unheard of. Zeus, for once, actually supported the idea. "I agree daughter. Your idea has great merit. There is only one problem. For him to become an immortal without becoming a god, he would have to marry a goddess."

Now it was her turn to look surprised. She hadn't expected that one, but it did make sense. Dionysus' wife was not a goddess but she was immortal due to being his wife. "So, who would you recommend be my son's wife? I don't think he'd just agree to such things with any goddess on Olympus. Not many of us, any of us, are known for being faithful. Hera is but she is married to you, brother. Hestia is out of the question being his mother. You can't quite say Athena, no offense directed at you, but she has brain children, nor can you say Artemis.

"Both Athena and Artemis are eternal maidens as well. So how do we make this happen without hurting him through his fatal flaw?" Poseidon asked.

The Council fell silent for a long period of time. "Why don't I just marry one of the maidens? They wouldn't have to break their vow of chastity if they didn't choose to, and I wouldn't be worried about being cheated on."

Zeus nodded. "That would work. The Muses are also maidens."

Percy shook his head. "No offense, but the best choice would be Artemis. My flaw would not allow me to be away from my wife, regardless of whether we consummated the marriage or not. And since my oath of allegiance to her ensures I will never go against the Council or willingly put or allow her to be harmed, it would be perfect. That is, if she allows it. If not, I recommend killing me with one of the Big Three's symbol of power, to ensure no bit of my power goes haywire and explodes. Not to mention, we don't have long. Being around this much godly energy sped up the process. We have about an hour before I go supernova."

Everyone stared fearfully at him. While it wouldn't kill any of them, it would destroy a lot of Olympus and take quite a bit of their power to prevent anyone from getting hurt. They all looked at Artemis for her decision.

She looked torn between herself. She liked him, maybe even more than she would admit or should. She was an eternal maiden, though she had never sworn on the Styx, she felt like it would betray her Hunter's trust. And she also knew they'd be losing a very powerful ally, and perhaps the only person who could save her from this Man in the Moon.

She sighed in defeat. "I'll do it."

Hera stood up and smiled. "Let's start the wedding then!"
