This will be a (small) alternate ending, picking up after 'Aftermath.' Only at insistent prodding was I pushed to write this. Also, to add something to the book for my new sponsors. So without further ado, let's get onto the AE.
Somewhere in the wilderness of California
A woman huffed as she finished self-delivering her only child. A gift from the fates to a maiden goddess. She smiled, her canines longer and more pronounced than any others. Her child would do great things, she could feel it.
"Perseus, your name will be Perseus, after my friends lost love."
The newborn godling smiled and showed off his similar, if not quite a lot smaller, canines. He let out a squeal of happiness and opened his eyes. A startling green greeted the goddess. Her eyes widened. The Fates had a lot in store for her, her baby, and Artemis. The goddess of Rome grinned and couldn't wait to show Artemis her discovery. But that would have to wait. She'd raise her first and only child before she let Fate play it's hand in his destiny.
She shifted into a wolf; and, using a bit of her godly power, caused her pup to shift as well. Picking him up by the scruff of his neck, she quickly made her way to her pack.

A wild haired and cold eyed boy sneered in disgust at the school he was being forced to attend. He was a godling for Zeus' sake! Granted, he aged at a mortal's rate thanks to a favor his mom called in with Hecate, he still knew what he was. He also started to understand who and what he was.
He didn't care though. He felt that Fate should shove it and that he'd make his own destiny. Who cares about some silver-eye'd girl he never met? Who cared about some kid that supposedly would look like him? He hated be forces to do anything. It didn't come naturally to him unless they had proven they were stronger than him. That was the Roman way. Respect strength and authority over all else. But as a godling, with his mom being Lupa, he found it hard to obey authority unless that person had proven themselves to him.
He slowly walked into the school, his head pounding from the stench of sweat and hormones raging through the crowds of other teenagers. His inner wolf howled and snarled at the annoying din of voices and slamming lockers and Percy had to agree with it.
Suddenly, a whiff of forest and cinnamon came floating into his nostrils. It seemed to put him at ease. Eyes narrowing, he searched for the smell. "Let go of me, if you know whats good for you," a clear, melodic voice carried over the ruckus.
A small circle of people had started to gather around a slightly bigger male, and a much smaller female. The boy had her wrist in a death grip, but for all of it, the girl just seemed more annoyed than hurt. "Can't you hear right, buddy? The girl said to let go. Or do you need someone to teach you right from wrong?" Percy growled, his eyes becoming more hazel than green.
The girl glanced at him and she seemed to freeze. "Who are you?" She asked, clearly no longer caring about the bully still clutching at her wrist.
Percy arched an eyebrow, a little taken aback by her lack of care of the vice like grip upon her. "Percy. Percy Lupine. And I don't recommend making friends with the oaf next to you." He turned his eyes upon the boy. "Let go of her now, before you piss me off."
The boy released her hand quickly, clearly highly aware of the volatile teenager in front of him. This made the girl's eyes narrow slightly. "And you are?" Percy asked.
"Diana. Diana Luna."
This time Percy's eyes narrowed. She was not what she pretended to be. "Well then, Miss...Luna, I'd get out of here if I were you. I can't always protect you," he said, offhandedly, turning on his heel and walking away, hands stuffed back into his pockets.
Diana quickly caught up with him and hissed, "Why do you assume I needed you help then, or in the future?"
Huffing at her proximity to him and the fact he wouldn't get any peace now, he replied, "I don't assume anything. That kid is just annoying and I thought it'd be best to stop him before I got any more annoyed. I already don't like being here, let alone in a city, so I'm easily angered."
Glancing around, Diana noticed the lack of students and quickly grabbed Percy and they disappeared into golden light. When they landed, she let out a startled scream as she was roughly picked up, and thrown into a tree.
"I knew you were a goddess! How dare you flash me anywhere without my permission!" Percy snarled.
Diana reared back like he had struck her. This was not what she had expected from HER Percy. But was he even her's? Was the body she had dead and this his reincarnation or was this just some godling that looked like him with his name?
A fire seemed to burn in her eyes and she yelled, "Get over yourself, little godling! I am an Olympian. Diana, the Goddess of the Hunt. Don't dare try to challenge me, boy!"
Percy's eyes widened, then smirked. "So you really are the one that my mom keeps talking about. Supposedly my destined love and mother to some daughter I've never even met. So what? I don't see why I should care? I don't know you and you don't know me."
Diana stopped and sighed. "Okay then. Who is your mother and father?"
Percy smirked, showing off his canines. "My mother is Lady Lupa, and I have no father. Hera allowed my mother to have me, her first and only child."
"Then, how about I show you your namesake. I won't force you to do anything you don't want to do, nor will I force you into something that you aren't ready for or willing to do. Also, I will introduce you to my daughter."
Percy's eyes narrowed just a fraction, trying to find deceit in her words, but she had used "my" instead of "your" or "our." "Okay. Then let's go."
"We're already here, just follow me." She turned and moved through some trees that soon opened up into a camp filled with thirty some odd silver tents, then three larger tents. Two were silver, and one was blue. She lead him to the blue one as heads peeked out of tents. She pulled back the flap and allowed him to enter before her. Inside was a glass casket and two other people, a male and a female.
Both these people turned to look at him and the boy's eyes widened. "Percy?" He asked.
"Well...that's my name, but I'm not the guy you're looking for." The male was about upper teens maybe early twenties and nodded, a little sadly. The girl was twelve and looked at him intently.
"You look exactly like my dad. Come, take a look, she said."
Percy approached and looked through the casket. Inside was an older male that looked exactly like him, if he aged another ten years or so. He touched his hand to the glass. Suddenly, his eyes snapped open, showing green iris'. A smirk adorned his face and his handed pressed against the glass, exactly opposite of his look alike. A moment later, he glowed blue and disappeared, a rush going through Percy.
He gasped, staggering back eyes flashing a dark green then topaz. He growled at the pain as memories and events seared through his mind. This other boy, other...him, had seen a lot. Just as quickly as it happened, it relented.
'Ah, so I see I did succeed. I wasn't sure if splitting a piece of my soul off when I rescued Zoë would actually work. I always knew I was going to die. I just needed a way to come back. I wasn't ready to die and I knew I had a wife to look after, and now a kid. But my my, the Fates are some twisted old ladies sometimes. Lupa as our mom? I wasn't expecting that one. Here's some of our old powers back, but you can never be Wrath again. The most I can do is influence the domains you acquire to be of a water type. Please, use this opportunity to make a life they I never could.' Then the presence that had invaded his mind was gone, leaving him at a loss.
"Ar-aartemis?!" Diana looked at Percy oddly. Switching to her Greek aspect she hesitantly moved up to him.
"Yes?"
"Phoebe? Artemis? By the gods...he was...me. I am him? I don't get it!"
Artemis smiled, tears in her eyes. Grabbing him in a hug she whispered into his ear, "It's fine, we'll figure this all out together.
Well, that's it folks. No more. No sequels. This is as far as this story will go. I felt that I at least owed it to you guys to tell you how he came back. Have fun and always stay hungry for more of life.
