Kiera pov

Kiera woke early Monday morning. The excitement of the days upcoming activities and the anticipation of being with Ash again had her stomach in knots. April had named off a couple of today's events but it was just a fraction of what was planned. There had never been a reunion with just a few games. Then after the activity of the day was over the Alpha Birthday dinner and dance would take place. It was the one thing she had ever looked forward to at the reunions. Even though the majority of the time she would be dancing with single man available or her father, since her dates would have left by then or would refuse to dance more then two songs.

April met her on the stairs as they headed for the breakfast table. They were just going to grab something light to eat. There were a couple of food contests so they didn't want to fill up at breakfast. The guys had already left before them, or Michael had left to join Ash outside. Just thinking of being with Ash all day had her smiling with anticipation. They smiled at the small group moving around the buffet like table loaded with food. It looked like a lot of their pack members were eating light that morning too.

Kiera saw her father sitting down at a small round table with a few of the older pack members who would sit out the games or judge them. They seemed to be the only ones who had chosen to eat a good meal before the start of the day. Kiera and April made their way towards their Alpha to wish him a happy birthday.

"Happy Birthday father!" Kiera exclaimed happily as she bent down to hug him tightly.

"Thank you my sweet child. I suppose this year I will have to sit out alone since you seem to have a willing partner for today's events."

"I'm afraid so father but I'll be sure to save you a dance this evening as your gift."

"I could not ask for more my sweet Kiera. All I ask is that you enjoy yourself this year and not to worry yourself about me. Seeing you happy brings me great joy."

Kiera wiped a stray tear from her cheek as she hugged her father again.

"Happy birthday Alpha." April said as she hugged him.

"Thank you April. Make sure my Kiera enjoys herself today."

"Of course Alpha. I will make sure of that."

Kiera shook her head as they both smiled at her. She could only guess what they both were thinking or sharing between the mind link. April and Kiera grabbed some toast and a glass of juice before heading out to find the boys. Everyone was heading in different directions as a P.A. system set around the farm announced the different games set around the farm. It would be another half hour before any games started so everyone made their way to the designated area to participate in or watch a game.

"I've got an idea on how to choose games," April said as they made their way to Ash's cabin.

Kiera lifted a brow as she waited on April to continue.

"I think that we should all compete in a game together if one of us wants to play. So if me or Michael want to participate in one event, then the rest should play too. Same goes if y'all want to play a different game. Same goes for individual games for men and women. Is that okay?"

Kiera thought this over, it seemed logical and they would probably participate in plenty of them but what if it was something she didn't really want to do.

"That's fine but I think we should only play if the majority agrees to play. I don't think everyone should suffer if only one person wants to play."

"Fine but I'll be sure to convince the guys to play if you don't want to, so it won't matter."

Kiera glanced at April, she had probably already counted on her being reluctant and had probably already told Michael about this to pass along to Ash. No wonder Michael left early this morning, she should have seen this coming all along. They spotted the men in front of Ash's cabin drinking from mugs, probably coffee to get them ready for the day. Kiera's pulse picked up a notch as she drew near. It felt like an eternity since she last seen him but it had just been a couple of hours since they last talked. A grin slowly made its way on his face as his eyes landed on her, sending her heart fluttering with excitement, she smiled back.
