the abyss - poetry

"oh honey,
wipe those tears from your eyes,
for its too early...

you haven't seen real pain just yet,
this feels like the end of the world;
but it's just beginning.

this may hurt now,
but it will always get better,
if you find the joy within the sorrows.

the joy that fills our tomorrows,
with happiness,
that we can't find in the abyss,
of cold reality.

cry those tears from your bloodshot eyes,
for its too late...

you've been swallowed by real pain,
and your world as you know it is ending,
nothing left.

this is worse than pain,
and it can't get better,
now that there's a fallen ember of what is forgotten.

the joy you knew as a child,
forever gone,
faded from your mind,
memories you will no longer fall upon."
