"i spend most nights at home falling in love with the idea of being with you,

the image of you forever engrained in the back of my head—

your long caramel colored hair,
your hypnotic chocolate eyes dotted with luminescent golden flecks,
your tanned olive skin,
and your thin peach lips.

the sound of your silky voice echos inside my head—

almost like a record player stuck on repeat,
that i can't turn off,
because i don't want to.

and i helplessly hold onto the hope that we'll keep following our love—

staying lost in the love we share,
electrified and powered by that old oak tree,
that sits atop our lake,
that joins us together from many miles away.

you're my magnolia—

and my love for you shall never wilt,
it shall never dull,
like how you forever stay vibrant and lively,
standing tall with pride of our shared affection."
