Artemis Fowl chapter 1

Artemis Fowl the 2nd had done it, he had gotten away with getting millions off of the Fairy's. After the fiasco with the troll Artemis thought to give it back but had tricked them into thinking he did. Now with the Fowl fortune back to its fullest Artemis could start looking for his father who had disappeared three years ago in Russia. First though he decided to check on his mother. Artemis Fowl the 2nd was a genius stuck in a twelve-year-old body. His skin pale as ice his eyes when not hidden my sun glasses were dark brown and he was pretty short and skinny for any age. For three years he was basically alone in his adventures to bring back the Fowl fortune, yes, he had his trusty bodyguard and friend Butler. Sadly, his mother went crazy after his father disappeared, doctors wanted to admit her but Artemis wouldn't allow it. Artemis couldn't wait to come to his mother with good news, news of his father, news of anything that would distract her. Sighing Artemis knocked on the door....no answer, he knocked again...still nothing. "Butler, check the security feed in mother's room." Butler ran to do that only to come back looking a bit green, for Butler to look green made it seem it was something really bad. "Artemis, I'm going to call a doctor you...I don't think you should go in there. There's a lot of blood." Artemis sucked in a breath then ran into the room, in their he saw a sight he would never forget. His mother once a beautiful woman laid half in her bathroom half in her bedroom. Blood splattered the floor here and there. Her eyes once kind were now glassed over with a faraway look. Worst of all though to Artemis was the small cuts done on both wrists, his mother had killed herself. Feeling very heavy suddenly Artemis let his knees drop under him,

"mother....I have good news" was the only thing he said to the empty room. It wasn't long till the doctor came, after that a burial was scheduled though Artemis wasn't all there.

After that something in Artemis changed, he no longer looked for his father, he no longer looked into fantasy and mythical creatures or settlements. Instead he plotted and planed. Making contraptions that were genius and could help a lot of people or kill a lot of people if used correctly. However, none of his things were made public instead he stayed to his manor where no one could bother him. That is till he got an invitation by a group called SHIELD.
