Chapter 2 

Fowl Manor 

                It had offishly been a year since the death of Artemis's mother when he got the call. The call happened on a sunny day when no one was with him as he sat working on homework for college in his study. Yes I said college because Artemis had a test done in school showing that he was far ahead anyone in the school. That being said he did start college at Yale University for science and engineering. So as he was doing that he heard his phone go off, it was a old looking phone one that still had a cord hooked to the wall and everything, "Artemis the second speaking" He answered, "Yes hello my name is agent Coulson, I am calling to represent SHIELD." Artemis of corse knew what SHIELD was, he had looked into it earlier in the year once the news of Iron Man had come out. "Oh agent what can I do for you on this fine day" he drawled, "eh well the director would like to meet with you sometime soon about technology called the Tesarac. This technology seems to be from a different world and we have a file on you stating that you've dealt with such things before." Leaning back Artemis thought of what to say, he turned to the picture of his once family. The picture was in a frame made of dark cherry wood with silver outlining. In it was himself around the age of eight, his father and mother were on either side of him both smiling. That was close to the last time Artemis had seen his father smile fully, "Ill meet with this director but Butler comes too." "Yes Master Fowl sir I can say that will work, we will come pick you up lets say tomorrow round lunch?" "that will work." With that they said their goodbyes and hung up. 

With Shield

                  Not long after agent Coulson got off the phone did Fury, the director of SHIELD call for him to be in the office. "Well Coulson?" Director Fury was a big man having one eye covered with a patch the other was looking at agent Coulson sternly. "Master Artemis said he would come tomorrow and that picking him round lunch would work." "And the others?" "The others are arriving as we speak director." Soon enough they could hear the voices of Steve Rodgers and Dr Banner coming from the front of the hover ship. A hover ship if you don't know is a ship like structure that is in the air like a space ship but not made for space itself. "I'm going to go" agent Coulson hurried to the front deck where he could meet his idol 'I wonder if I can get my Captain America cards sighed.' 

Next Day

Fowl Manor

                   The next day around noon aka lunch time (for me) Artemis waited outside the manor with Butler, the two were a odd pair to see. One was as pale as a vampire had sun glasses on and a suit, not only that but was a child. Then you had a much larger man wearing a suit also and having his blond hair buzzed almost all off. "Artemis are you sure we should be meeting with this SHIELD group, they do after all look into crime and what not, that being said you don't have the cleanest background" Butler said with his deep scottish voice rolling off his tongue. "Butler you know if we don't meet with the group then they will annoy us to no end." Artemis had a point, the two knew how groups like SHIELD worked. Soon they saw  a long black limousine pull up front of the manor, "Juliet is taking care of things while we are gone correct Butler." "Yes Artemis she is excited to have the whole place to herself but don't worry I told her the rules." "Yes we don't want a repeat of last time now do we." The back door opened and the two saw a man shorter than Butler (though most are) wearing a suit also. "Good to see you two thank you for accepting the meeting." With that said they started driving.
