The next week..
Ray's POV.
Although our plan was working, I started to develop feelings for Bianca. Small feelings. I know it's wrong, but I can't help it. I can't do this to Jacob, he's my bestfriend. Maybe these feelings will blow over soon, I hope.
Bianca and Jacob came in through the front door and sat down on the couch, waiting on everyone else."I can help you if you want, Ray" She offered. "Yeah, you can cook right?"
"I can do a little something" she smiled, "Good, I already made some things in the kitchen if you want to try them" I was having a barbeque today, and invited family and friends but they weren't here yet. Bianca and Jacob just happened to be early.
I let her try one of the Loaded Potato Skins that I made. They were still a little hot so I was hoping she wouldn't burn her tongue. "So what do you think?"
"I think you need to come to my house and help me cook, this is really good" I smiled, and let her try some of the other things I made.
After tasting everything, she sat on top of the counter and crossed her legs. I looked her up and down, admiring her beautiful legs and light caramel skin tone. She looked amazing up there. She looked through her phone, then looked at me, "You know my mom can really cook, but what she's bomb at is making Kabobs. I can make one for you and Jacob and then maybe if you want, I can make more for the Barbeque"
I nodded, "Yeah, sure but if they're as good as you say, you'll have to give me the recipe. What are they called anyway?"
"Sweet Chili BBQ Shrimp and Chicken Kabobs"
"We can make them together" She smiled at me and her hazel eyes were just so inviting, "Sure, help me off the counter" I walked around the counter and gripped onto the waist and lifted her up off the counter.
When I set her down, something was telling me to kiss her, but when I moved in, Jacob's face popped into my head and I let go. "Okay, do you have and Jumbo shrimp or Boneless chicken?" I shook it off and laughed, "My mom has everything in her kitchen, I'm pretty sure they're in there"
"Oh, okay" she giggled. It was cute, watching her get on her tippy toes to look in the freezer. "Need help?" I asked. She stopped and looked at me, "No, you and Jacob are the same. I can do this myself" she pulled up a step stool and reached toward the back of the freezer. "Found them!" she threw them for me to catch. "Okay, let's get started!"
After we finished, she held it up to my mouth for me to taste it, "They're amazing. You want me to help you make the others?"
"Only if you want to" She said on her way out the kitchen to give Jacob his.
Jacob's POV.
I sat in Ray's living room thinking about Bianca and I's relationship. It's been a week and I'm starting to think Bianca doesn't like me as much as she did, but then I could be wrong. She's probably trying to give me a litle space, but I don't need space, I need her to show me that she truly loves me as much as I love her. I know it sounds obsessive, but I have really bad trust issues ever since that incident with Ashley. I'm just terrified at the assumption that she might leave me for Trey or someone else soon. I know I'm a strong person, but I can't keep getting torn down like this. Even the strongest people can't take this much emotional pain and confusion.
"Hey, Puff ball, I made you something!" she came in through the arch, connected to the kitchen and the livingroom. "Really, what is it?"
"It's a Sweet Chili BBQ Shrimp and Chicken Kabob. My mom taught me the recipe" she said, sitting down next to me. "Say ahh"
