MAC'S POV:
"Wake up! Wake up!" I rolled over and spotted an excited Emily trying to shake me awake. I was taking her to my first dance practice for the year and today it was obvious that she wanted me to get up and leave now.
Looking at my alarm clock, I saw that dance practice didn't start yet until an hour. I groaned, hiding my face under the covers. I had appreciated the fact that Emily was excited but it was way too early to be waking up.
"Go away," I mumbled sleepily.
EMILY'S POV:
Oh how sexy his morning voice was. Why couldn't he just get up? I was starting to get impatient.
When I finally managed to get him dressed and get him out of bed, there was only 15 minutes until his dance practice was going to start. I took his hand and hurried him along. If he was going any slower he might as well be going backwards.
The dance studio that OTW practices in was one of the biggest studios I have ever encountered. There were benches inside that you could sit on and watch them dance. Mirrors were on the whole of the back wall and the other three were covered in wallpaper much like the colour of the shiny dogwood flooring. The grain of the flooring was interlocked with a fine, uniform texture. Normally dogwood would be used for other things and I wondered how people could dance on it because I'd seen this type of wood on the bows I used to use in my old archery lessons. I don't know why it bothered me so much but I guess it was just my geeky instinct coming in to distract me.
Over near the back of the studio I spotted the rest of the OTW crew and, taking my hand, Mac led me to them. I recognised Taylor, Kevin, Matt, Sam, Natalia, Suzana, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, Josh, Bryson and all of the others that I couldn't quite put a name to yet. Adam, Tissem and Luca were also there.
"OK so let's start off with what we had last year and see if we can go on from there!" I heard Adam saying just before they all separated and went into their positions.
"Go with Tissem - she'll look after you." Mac said, pushing me over to his manager. I wondered why his manager was there until I remembered that she was on holiday here and had to be here for the fanday thing the day before.
"Hey! Aren't you Mac's girlfriend, Emily?" she asked in her strong European accent. She was very pretty with long brown hair going all the way down her back.
"Yes. He told me to stay with you." I replied shyly, looking down at my feet.
"Oh don't be so shy! It's only me!" she chuckled, showing her perfect straight teeth. Luca was very lucky to have a girlfriend like her.
Speaking of the devil, Luca had just appeared saying that it was time for them to go.
"It was nice meeting you! I'll see you later OK?" she said, still smiling at me. I smiled up at her too. I never thought that anyone could be so nice.
I watched as they left the studio and took a seat at the benches provided. All of the OTW Crew were such good dancers and a spot in my heart had stopped when I realised that I would never be as good as them. I still watched Mac though and his perfect movement through the song. They were dancing to 'Ridiculous by Red Foo' and you could barely see what they were doing it was so fast and accurate.
About halfway through the rehearsal, the person I least expected to be here had appeared. It was Gaby and she brought along a sidekick. Her sidekick had brunette hair and with every movement she stuck her hips out to possibly try and grab everyone's attention. Unfortunately, it didn't really grab mine at all.
They sat down next to me "Oh Hello! Fancy seeing you here!" I didn't think it was really that 'fancy' but ignored her anyway and kept watching Mac dance. "You know, he doesn't really like you. He only broke up with you because he felt sorry that you had no friends." She flicked her long blonde hair behind her and followed the direction of my eyes as I watched Mac and his every movement.
"I'm Stephanie!" the other girl had shouted. She said it so abruptly that I actually turned around to notice them.
"Shhh... it's not all about you, honey." Gaby snapped at her, placing her finger on her lips. Stephanie looked taken aback and sunk back into her seat.
I had a lot of questions to ask them about why they were here but kept it to myself. Gaby could come up with any excuse to try and make myself feel more insecure and I didn't take the risk.
"Yeah so... he is going to break up with you soon and, like, come back to me. I'm just warning you so, like, you don't feel so sad about it afterwards." Gaby said, sounding as bitchy as ever.
"He'll never break up with me if it is the last thing he does." I informed her. But was I right? Did he really love me as much as he said he did? He had promised to make up the time we hadn't spent together since we had started dating and so far he had done a great job but, as much as I hated to admit it, Gaby was way prettier than me, and lots of boys at my school have or have had a crush on her before. Nothing that came out of Gaby's mouth was ever nice and most of it was obviously a lie anyway so I really wasn't that worried. I hope.
