"Who's baby is it?" I asked Alex.

He sighed "Salem's baby"

Eric accidentally let go of the wheel to look at Alex then almost swerved us off the road before gaining control of the wheel again.

"Why are you carrying Salem's child?" I asked still shocked. I definitely wasn't prepared for this at all.

"He's dead isn't he?...please don't tell me he's still alive" Eric said.

"No he's dead but Katie did some digging and found out he had another child and blackmailed me" Alex explained.

"But out of all the children why Salem's child? Neither of you gave a rats ass about him" Eric said turning a corner.

"Because of Malia" I whispered in a daze.

"Who's the mother?" Eric asked.

"Brooke Sinclair" Alex said.

"Brooke didn't mention anything about a another daughter where'd you find her?" I asked still suspicious of the small sleeping toddler.

"Katie said she was with Brooke's sister but then her sister got arrested for doing drugs so they put her up in foster care and lucky Katie...she did a lot of digging to find her" Alex explained. We were now sitting outside of our house in the car but no one wanted to walk in yet.

"So she kidnapped her?" I asked.

"Pretty much" he said.

"We can't keep a kidnapped child"

"I'll talk to some people I know and see if they can help"

"Technically if Katie....'disappears'... " Eric put up air quotes. "And brooke's sister is already in jail then we- you guys can adopt it- her...what's her name anyway?" Eric asked.

"Lillian" Alex said.

"Lillian?" I questioned already not liking the name.

"We can change it if you like?" Alex said.

"Who says we're keeping her? I can't deal with another one we still have problems Alex" I said. I looked at the Lillian she was peacefully sleeping in Alex's arms. Oh how I wanted her so bad but I didn't want her to have the same fate as...Malia. everyone got quiet in the car knowing it's the truth. "If you keep her I promise on my life she will never be in danger who's to say she won't be abused,raped, or tortured if we put her in the system. She's only 2 now but when she grows up...you never know what will happen. Kids get put in the system traveling from foster parent to foster parent until they get above age then they fends for themselves it's rare that she will be 100% safe if you guys don't keep her" Eric said.

Me and Alex both looked at him in shock. Who knew Eric was a sucker for children? "I mean he's kind of right" I said.

"Rose it's up to you I don't want to do anything that you don't want to do I know this is very important" Alex said.

I nodded my head "Okay yes we can keep her" I smiled at the child.

"Yes!" Eric said getting out the car.

"Do you want to change her name?" Alex asked.

"No if Brooke named her Lillian then that's her name" I said.

"I missed you Rose I'm deeply sorry for the pain I caused you...I didn't want Katie to hurt Lillian. Katie was watching my every move and-"

"I understand...somewhat" I said getting out the car. I opened the trunk of the car we taped Katie's mouth and blindfolded her before we left her house. "Put her in the basement" I told Eric. Alex walked beside me "hold her please I'll help Eric".

I hesitated before grabbing Lillian and her head lazily plopped on my shoulder as I carried her in the house.

The bodyguards were all around the living room Angel was in the kitchen looking in the refrigerator. "Shhh" I said to them. They all looked confused as I walked upstairs I opened the my door and tucked Lillian into me and Alex's bed. She stirred but didn't wake up. I closed the door and walked downstairs "Who's baby is that?" Angel asked. "Brooke Sinclair's, girlfriend of Salem, Malia has a sister" I explained.

"Where's Katie?"

"Basement"

"Alex?"

"Basement"

"You forgot my chocolate"

"Oops" I shrugged as she was eating a yogurt.

Alex and Eric came from the basement Alex looked around the room and all the bodyguards stood up straighter. "Where's Nick?"

Everyone looked around cluelessly. "Who's Nick?" Trey asked.

"Was he new?" Eric asked.

Alex nodded his head.

Silence swept over the living room. "He backed out?" Alex guessed.

"I mean...you could say that he backed out...by force" Angel said.

Everyone looked at me. "What he disrespected me" I shrugged.

"Who gave her a gun?"Alex asked.

"Reminder Alex you disappeared for a month why wouldn't I have one"

He simply nodded his head "I have to wash up and call child services plus my lawyer I'll be in my office" he wandered off upstairs.

"So what'd you do with Katie?" I asked Eric.

"She's in the basement chained up to a wall".

"Good hand me a screwdriver" I said to Angel.

"Why?"

"Because paybacks a bitch"
