End Game

ROSE P.O.V

The gun was removed from my head and I heard it drop on the floor. Before I could try to elbow the intruder in the face my hands went to my back he gripped my wrists together with one hand and wrapped my damp hair around his hand in the other then pulled back harshly. A breath crept near my ear "You'd be dead" A familiar voice growled in my ear.

My mind was doing back flips informing me that it was just Alex and not someone who wanted to kill me. But the sound of his voice and his rough hands made me want to squeeze my thighs closed only then did I remember I only had on a towel.

"Im aware of that now...I thought you were an intruder" I gritted out.

"Your reflexes are good...but not good enough"

"What broke?"

"When the power went out I tripped over your dumb dog and broke a wine glass" he growled angrily.

"My dog isn't dumb" I said defending the small grey pit bull. I strained to turn my neck to look at him even though it was dark anyway so there was no point in it but that only made him pull back harder making me push back into him farther.

Jesus his body feels-

Don't even go there.

"You punched me in the jaw" he gritted his teeth.

"Did it hurt?" I asked knowing it did I just wanted to hear him say it.

"You kicked me in the dick"

I held back a laugh chuckling a bit. "Your the one creeping around"

"You need to better your defenses"

"Well thats what you get when you try to teach me like I'm your student...you get kicked in your groin" I chuckled.

He pulled back again making me gasp "your doing it again"

"Doing what?"

"Testing my patience"

I tried to think of something clever to say but I couldn't find it so I didn't say anything "Good girl" he said.

He let go of me and spun me around to face him "Im going to get candles" he picked up my gun and the ammunition then walked away.

I heard him go downstairs. I looked around for our room there were 5 rooms in this hallway. Ours was in the middle so I walked in and got my phone from off the bed then turned on the flash I turned off the water that was still running in the bathroom then got dressed in my shorts and a long shirt not even bothering to put a bra on. It was more comfortable that way. I heard small padded feet come into the room "Winter?" I called out. I felt her nudge my foot with her head I picked her up putting her on the bed.

Alex came upstairs with 5 small unlit candles he placed them on the dresser then lit every one. I placed two around the room and one in the bathroom. When I came out from the bathroom Alex had Winter in his hands putting her down on the floor "she stays on the floor"

"She's been sleeping with me in the bed for a month no need to change that now"

"I'll order her a bed" he offered.

"But she likes our bed" I whined.

By the way he was looking at me I could tell he was holding back on getting angry. "Fine" I pouted.

The corner of his mouth twitched into a smirk "What are you smirking for?"

"You're just so cute" he said taking off his shirt.

I walked towards him until we were inches apart.

"What else am I?"

"You're smart..."

He unbuckled his jeans.

"You're funny"

He slid his jeans off. I took this chance to run my hands over his bare chest then down to his underwear line .

"And?..."

"A temptress" he grabbed my hands and put them at my side then slid under the covers turning on his side and going to sleep.

A well deserved sleep. I towel dried my hair and got under the covers going to sleep.
