"Where's Rose Winter I need to see her" I heard Angel yell from the hallway. I was laying in a hospital bed. I haven't spoken since I came here, which is why I could've left by just speaking to the doctors. But truthfully I didn't want to leave because then everything that happened will be real and I can't take that.

I mean he must have a good reason to crash the car,gas us,take Mya and get into that car with Katie....willing.

Right?

The police came in "Hello I'm detective Reed I just want to ask a few questions" the woman said she had her hair slick back into a bun.

"I don't know who was driving and I don't know anything" I said annoyed.

"Relax I'm working with Alexander Ridden I know about the kidnapping...I know about everything who do you think keeps the police out of this? The boogeyman?"

"What do you want?"

"Im just here to give you the traffic tapes but you never heard from me" she said leaving the tapes on the table. "Good luck" she said leaving
the room.

I sighed. Why would Alex do this? "Hey" Angel popped her head in. She walked beside my bed with Eric "Why would he do this?" I asked them.

No one had a word neither of their eyes were on me.

"Nothing?" I said rolling my eyes.

"It's not safe here let's go home" Eric said.

Eric called the bodyguards over I was pacing in the living room while everyone was still in shock...even the bodyguards.

"It's makes no sense he wouldn't do this to me " I panicked I tapped the side of my head with my gun trying to think.

"Sorry but he kinda did" An new bodyguard whose name I didn't get around to knowing said.

Jackson sucked his teeth "wrong words Darren" I quickly shot Darren in the leg he yelled holding his bleeding leg.

"Shut up I'm trying to think" I said to him still pacing. It was a flesh wound he'll live.

Angel got the first aid kit and started bandage Darren up.

"Can anyone think of a motive to why he would do this?" I asked.

No one said a word.

I was getting irradiated by the silence "Well maybe he was just playing us the whole time" Another new guy said.

Before I could shoot him Eric said "Maybe he's right" distracting me from shooting the bodyguard.

"How could you say that! Do you know how many times he saved my life? Yours? He would put his life on the line for you and that's what you say?" I grimaced.

"Im saying maybe Katie offered him something he couldn't refuse" Eric said putting his hands up.

"Does he have any other family members?" I asked.

"Other than Mya no they're all dead" Angel said.

"Everyone's still here right?" I asked.

"Yes everyone he cares about us in this house" Eric said.

"Then why would he do this?" I shook my head.

"Did any of you hear what Katie said on the phone?"

They shook their heads "What happened when you guys went to meet Katie?" I questioned.

"Nothing we showed up at a abandoned warehouse Alex checked inside but Katie was a no show" Angel shrugged.

I sighed "He was acting oddly weird after that though" Eric admitted.

"How?"

"He was super quiet throughout the whole car ride home...he only spoke like one sentence....Remember when you asked Alex if we could order out and he said 'It's bad for children'?" Eric reminded Angel.

"Yeah he was being smart Eric that's a typical Alex" Angel rolled her eyes.

"Its was still odd" He shrugged.

Eric suddenly sat up looking at me "Are you pregnant?" he asked.

"What? No! Why would you think that?" I said.

"I don't know I thought he said that because you guys were expecting"

"No" I said blantly.

"Did Alex ever have any flings with anyone before you maybe he accidentally got someone pregnant" Darren said slowly.

My finger twitched to shoot him again but I refrained because he could be on to something.

"No I'm 100% positive in fact he never really associated with women until you" Eric said.

"Well then children are not the clue" Angel sighed.

"Let's check the warehouse maybe there's something there" I said putting my jacket back on "You guys stay here just in case something happens" I told the bodyguards.

We arrived at the warehouse it did look pretty abandoned. I pulled the door it creaked open as I walked into the warehouse. I saw nothing it was completely empty. We looked around for the slightest clue but we got nothing.

"He was in here for about 7 minutes it took us 3 minutes to look around I don't know what he was doing " Angel sighed.

We walked out the warehouse I looked outside for anything but still got nothing my heart was breaking with every let down.

"Let's just go there's nothing here" I said getting in the car.

"Did Katie have anything that she could've bribed Alex with?" I asked. We were back at square one in the house with me pacing around the living room.

"No absolutely nothing" Eric said.

"Maybe he was with Katie all along" Jackson shrugged his shoulders I shot him in the knee he grunted taking the bullet out his jeans then tapping his knee "bullet proof knee pads told you they'd come in handy" He told Trey.

I rolled my eyes.

"You can't shoot your unwanted thoughts away" Eric said to me truthfully. It was true but I wasn't thinking straight at all.

"It wouldn't make any sense for him to side with Katie if that was the case she would've just killed you instead of kidnapping you for Alex's money because Alex would have just gave it to her" She said.

"Exactly" I said defending her point.

"Don't take this the wrong way but ur not all that worth saving" he looked me up and down. "maybe he wanted to leave you all along but found just the right opening to do it I mean....maybe he fell in love with Katie he just wanted to disappear with Katie and his sister, once Katie got the password she was going to kill Mya anyway right? " I heard someone say.

I quickly shot at the bodyguard this time the bullet hit his skull the thump of his body fall was the only sound in the room everyone took one step back away from me out of fear. Except Jasper,Eric,Jackson, Trey, juilian, and Angel.

"Jesus Rose" Eric quickly snatched the gun out my hand.

Silence swept over the room as everyone looked at the dead guard.

"Was that the new guy?" Angel asked pointing to the dead bodyguard.

"Yup" I heard Jackson say casually popping the 'p'.
