"God damnit! How the fuck could you miss him?"
"He ran into the elevator before I could catch him! Don't blame me, Blue Eyes. It's not my fault, he was too fast!"
"He was crying and drunk out of his fucking mind! Are you bloody kidding me, Bullet? Do you think I'm stupid? Do I look stupid to you? Even Yo-Yo could have caught him!"
"Yo-Yo's only fucking 20 years old!"
"Exactly, dumb nuts! Now get your act together, you worthless little – "
"Ow! That hurt, you fucking bitch."
"Good. Now get to work and FIND HIM! I'm not letting them escape me this time."
**********
"Stupid bitch, thinks she can say and do whatever and whenever she feels like it," I mutter grumpily, my grip on the steering wheel tightening. "Fool didn't even realize how many surveillance cameras there were at that bloody Hostess Hotel!"
Trees turned to vast sand dunes scattered with small plants and grass. "And for a drunk, he ran pretty damn fast!"
Flashes of that time raced through my mind, making me swerve on the road and an asshole on the other side of the road shout at me. Contemplating on whether or not to follow him and shoot his tires flat, I decided to just flip him off and continue driving.
I really have to find this son of a bitch.
I haven't seen Blue Eyes at her angriest yet, but I don't want her flashing a god damned gun at me like she has to other gang members. I like my limbs all attached to my body, thank you very much.
"Where is this fucking Salthill Beach," I cursed to myself, banging my palms on the horn in frustration. "Damn you all!" The sound resonates through the sandy dunes.
The traffic has thinned, leaving me deserted on the road – which is now basically a collection of greying, bumpy cobblestones. My brain rattles in my skull every time I drive through a crack in the poorly made pathway.
A shrill ringing made my head pound worse than before.
"What now?" I grumbled, shutting off the agonizing ringtone that blared from my back pocket by answering the phone. "What is it, Yo-Yo?"
"You got him yet?"
"I'm not even at the god fucking damn beach yet! Why are you bothering me, you're supposed to leave me the fuck alone when I'm doing my chores!"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. What're you planning to do with the body if he's dead?"
"I don't know, chuck him in a fire or something! Who gives a flying damn?"
"I do! Look, just bring him back to the headquarters. Blue Eyes' order."
"Oh really?"
"Yes, fuck nuts."
"I doubt you've talked to her at all today."
"Oh my god, would you just shut the fuck up and bring me his god damned body, breathing or not!"
"For 20 you're a real bitch, Yo-Yo."
"For a man, you have remarkably small nuts. Grow a pair, you fucktard."
Click.
One day I'm going to kill her, I swear. I'd probably have to do it when Blue Eyes kicks the bucket though, because they adore that little brat.
After another ten bloody minutes of me sitting in the suffocating car, I finally saw the old wooden sign that read Salthill Beach. Took long enough! Jesus, I was close to blowing my own brains out.
The vehicle screeched to a halt and I jumped out, not bothering to park it properly. It's not like anyone's going to care; there's no one here anyways. Who in their right mind would be at the beach at six thirty in the morning?
Although Blue Eyes makes me want to strangle them and everything else that passes me, I have to admit that they're smart when it comes to finding people. How they knew that he was going to be somewhere on Salthill Beach beats even me... I just wish he would have chosen a different place to conveniently show up on. It's so fucking far away from everything!
The soft, beige sand swallowed my feet and I cussed loudly, the grains slipping into my shoes and rubbing against my feet. I kicked them off, leaving the converse behind me as I continued walking. By now, I could see the vast turquoise body of ocean that stretched along the sand for miles. The water sparkled in the sunlight, waves foaming and crashing onto the wet sand at the very front. I approached it, my bare feet prickling at the feeling of the cold saltwater.
The sun was beginning to beat down on me and the light reflected off of my sunglasses, providing a weak attempt of protection against the already overwhelming heat. I shielded my eyes, scanning the sandy beach as much as I could, searching for the bloody bastard that wasted my whole day.
If he runs like he did back then I have no chance, I thought to myself, reminiscing in the moment from last year.
**********FLASHBACK**********
I was hiding in the bushes by the parking slots of the Hostess Hotel, waiting for him to finally bloody return. Twigs and thorns pricked my already burning skin and I gritted my teeth, getting extremely impatient and more than a little infuriated.
When the cab finally showed up and that little asshole stepped out, I muttered, "target sighted, on my way," through the mouthpiece to Blue Eyes and stepped out of my hiding spot, trying to make the least amount of noise possible. However, the damned plants I was crouching in rustled, and he looked back in alarm. Knowing I had no other choice but to chase him, I started running, my bad knee slowing me down immensely.
The stupid teenager let out a drunken, girly squeal and sprinted through the entrance doors of the hotel, frantically clicking the buttons to the elevator and getting in before I even had the chance to enter the building. Once I was inside, it was too late.
If only that silly receptionist had given me his room number. Stupid woman.
**********FLASHBACK ENDS**********
Where the bloody fuck is this bastard? I thought irritated, glancing around the seemingly endless beach. He's got to be around here somewhere; she said he would be.
I turned around to leave, annoyance clear in my features. This is so stupid.
Just then a black object bobbed above the surface of the water, catching my eye and making me spin around. I sprinted towards the figure, making out a body in a weakly crafted boat. I smirked, pleased with myself as I tugged the small boat onshore and dragged the dripping body to my dirty car.
Damn, Blue Eyes is going to be so fucking happy with me.
