Guys I know there are sooooo many holes in this plot, please forgive me :( in the next book I write I’ll definitely pay a LOT more attention to these small errors, as well as editing and making the work as good as it can be for you lovelies ;) don’t know what it will be yet, but probably not a fanfic!

Anyways, here is Thursdays update :D Enjoy xx

Rianna’s POV

I awoke again, crinching at the feeling of the carboard-like hospital bed. I had been tossing and turning for the past few hours, but even though it was long into the night I was barely tired and couldn’t fall asleep.

Well, maybe I would be tired if I were sleeping on a proper mattrass.

I sighed and propped myself up on the few pillows supplied to me, and glanced around the darkened room. There wasn’t much in it, other than a small table with a few of my belongings strewn across it, the bed I was on along with the tubes and machines connected to me, and a pathetic plastic chair in the corner. I squinted at the seat, and realized Liam was sprawled on it snoring awkwardly. His back was hanging over the edge of the plastic and his head was leaning against the wall, his long legs and arms not finding space in the small area.

I sighed and called to him. “Liam. Liam!

“Wh-what? Y-yes, awake. Rianna, what’s wrong, did something happen?” he mumbled groggily, making his way over to me as fast as he could while still half-asleep. I smiled lightly at how clumsy he was being. He reminded me of a sleepy pengiun.

“You didn’t look very comfortable, hun,” I whispered, pulling the covers back and gesturing to the bed. “Come and sleep here, with me.” I added the last part quietly, and looked away so I wouldn’t have to meet his gaze when saying that.

“Are you sure about this, Rianna?”

“It’s better than hard plastic, Li.”

Liam yawned greatly and gave in, sliding into the bed beside me. Gratitude swelled in my heart that Liam not only stayed here with me, but he was comforting me as well. Sure, I invited him into the bed, but it was his decision to be slinging his arm around me and holding me close while we lay on the pathetic excuse of a mattrass. I was so thankful that although nearly everyone was gone, I still had him here to comfort me. Liam was still here, for me.

I smiled and nestled into his arms.

Liam’s POV

Rianna hugged me tightly, her arms shivering slightly with unease. My arm was still around her shoulders, and I was pretty sure it was going to stay there for the night as well. I chuckled, but Rianna stayed silent.

“Why don’t you like hospitals, Rianna?” She looked up at me, but I couldn’t quite read her expression in the darkness. Her hand lightly squeezed mine and I could feel her shrug.

“Who does, Liam?”

Is that all there is to it, though? I felt Rianna tremble slightly beside me, but knew if she wanted to talk about it she would have already.

Maybe I’ll find out soon.

**********

“Rianna. Hey, Rianna, wake up,” a kind, feminine voice said beside me, and when I cracked my eyes open I spotted a nurse that I hadn’t seen taking care of the girl beside me before.

“Hi, is everything alright?” I asked her nervously. I couldn’t sit up properly because Rianna was still sleeping heavily on my arm.

“Oh yes, yes of course. I would just like to see Rianna before I go home. She is a dear friend of mine,” the nurse explained, smiling at me with such warmth I had to grin back.
