Zayn’s POV

“Guys?” I called throughout the tranquil flat, receiving a continuation of the silence as a response. I frowned and tried again. “Which one of you drank all of the milk?”

“Oh, that was me, sorry,” Rianna laughed, appearing from behind the wooden staircase. This really didn’t classify as a flat anymore.

“Guess we need to head to the shops then. We’re low on food anyway, and I need milk for my coffee.”

“Caffeine, Zayn? Really?” I knew she was joking, but the look of mock-disgust on her face hit me harder than a ton of bricks. Well aren’t you just a disgusting little bitch, Zayn? Who kissed his best mate’s girlfriend again?

Oh, right, that was you. Bailey’s probably thanking the stars that she’s away from you and your dirty touch right this moment –

“Hey, Zayn, wakey-wakey,” Rianna sassed, snapping her fingers in front of my face. Damn, didn’t remember her being so impatient and feisty. Niall seriously needs to come back and calm her down, before I lash out at her – or someone else.

It wasn’t even really their fault I was so moody, just the thoughts of Bailey being gone, and our kiss, and me just being so fucking disgusting to everyone doesn’t exactly create a positive atmosphere.

I need to find a way to deal with myself.

“Rianna, you called?” Liam panted, racing down the stairs and standing by her side before I even realized he was down here. I shot my bandmate a shocked and weirded-out glare, unsure why he was acting like a bloody dog with Rianna holding the leash.

Am I missing something here?

“Ready?” someone said to me, pinching my cheek. I recoiled spitefully, realizing it was Louis that had touched my face, and scowled at him. Today wasn’t one of my good days.

“For what, Louis?

“Shopping, genius. Weren’t you listening?” I stared at him blankly, and he sighed and shook his head. “Of course not. We’re walking to the grocery store, since it’s not that far. We can use the resh air anyway.”

“O-Oh, right. Sure, whatever,” I muttered, pulling on a random scarf, some sneakers and a warm coat. Got to love November, right?

“What’s wrong, Mr. Bipolar?” asked Rianna cheerfully, slinging an arm around my shoulder as we strolled down the peacefully empty street. I shrugged her touch away and burried my hands in my coat pockets, not in the mood to elaborate on my feelings for Bailey whatsoever. She wouldn’t understand anything.

Rianna backed away with her hands up in a sarcastic defeat, before skipping to Liam and starting up a conversation with him. The hell is going on between those two?

“I’ve been wondering the same thing, man,” Louis’ voice chimed, obviously seeing me observe the pair ahead of us. “I think they’re just looking for some comfort.”

I grunted in response and looked away, the feeling of Bailey’s lips still lingering on my own mouth, but at the same time her touch burning scars into my skin. So wrong… but so right… And never failing to disgust.

A high-pitched shriek emmitted from the only girl left brought Louis’ and mine attention tot he front, where a dark hooded figure was blocking Liam and Rianna’s path. Lou jogged up to them and I followed, not wanting anything else to happen to us. Wasn’t the kidnapping enough?
