Voltron superhero au!!!

Chapter one

As this is a superhero au, this is the list of the characters and they're powers
Lance: water/ice
Keith: fire/speed
Shiro: wind/strength
Pidge: earth/ speed
Hunk: mind reader/ intelligence
Allura: invisibility/ shapeshifter
Coran: hypnotise/ his moustache

I'm just doing team voltron for now. I'll do the bad guys and supporting characters in the later chapters :) enjoy!

Lance woke up. He was tired, he couldn't remember the last time he got a proper nights rest. He looked at the watch on his wrist and sighed. 3:00am.

Back on earth if he ever woke up in the middle of the night, he'd go into his little brothers room and ask if he wanted to play a video game. He smiled at the thought of him and his brother playing against each other but his smile quickly faded when he realised how far away he was from his family. Would he ever see them again? Did they miss him?

Lance felt a tear roll down his cheek. He missed his mom's dinner, she always made the best chicken casserole.

Enough, he couldn't keep thinking about his family, the fate of the universe was in his palms and he couldn't afford to get emotional over his past.

Lance got up and splashed water on his face. Maybe training would help collect his thoughts. It would be guaranteed to exhaust him and help him sleep better. Maybe it would even take his mind off everything that had happened.

Lance walked out of his room and on his way to the training room he heard noise. Lance quickly took up a battle stance and crouched down. He looked through the window and saw- Keith? Why was he up so late?

"Hey Keith"

Keith jumped. He didn't think anyone had been watching him. Usually he was the only one up this late.

"What are you doing here?"

"I couldn't sleep, I thought maybe training would help."

Keith killed the robot he had been fighting and turned towards lance.

Once I've caught my breath do you want to fight me? Lance raised his eyebrows.

"We're teammates I don't want to fight you."

"Why? Are you scared you'll lose. Well that's fair enough I wouldn't want to fight me either" Keith stood up and started getting ready to fight again.

"Oh it's on my paladude. It's on."Lance took off his jacket and walked over to the other side of the room.

"Three"
"Two"
"ONE" they yelled together. Keith clapped his hands together and sent a streak of fire straight for Lance. Lance dodged it and summoned a wave of water. It was at least three metres high and Keith panicked looking for an escape.

He ran back and hit the wall melting the spot he had hit creating a hole. He repeated this multiple times, each time going higher and higher. Keith just about managed to get above the water before it hit.

The room was now filled with water. Keith smiled at Lance evilly. Lance narrowed his eyes.... what is he planning.

Keith put his hand in the water and concentrated on heating up the water.

Lance gasped. "You wouldn't dare" Keith laughed and continued. He was planning to boil the water.

"LANCE. KEITH." Keith and Lance stopped fighting and looked at the door. Shiro split the water, Moses style and gave them a death glare.
He lifted them up and dropped them on the ground.

"Sleep. Now" he said grumpily. You could really see the sleep deprivation in his eyes.
