Chapter eight pt 3

~a/n wow I'm sorry for all the angst this will be the last part of chapter eight I'm sorry it's so short I might upload another chapter today. I'm sick so I have time to write a lot more so expect chapters to upload everyday for the next few days!!~

Lance didn't want to let Keith go. Something told Lance that Keith had never told that story to anyone. Not even Shiro. Keith was doing his best to hold back the tears and so was Lance but they weren't doing very well.

"Keith. I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine what you've gone through."
Keith hugged Lance and Lance nearly broke. He felt tears falling on his shoulder and all he could do was try to calm him.

"You're ok. You're fine. It's all going to be ok" he said their mantra out loud multiple times before finally letting Keith go. It was then that Keith realised what had just happened. Keith had shown his vulnerable side to a complete stranger. He hadn't even shown Shiro this side of him.

Keith started to panic. How could he trust Lance. Lance could go off and tell everyone now. Lance could see Keith working himself up and tried to calm him.

"Keith, Keith listen to me. Everything is going to be ok" Keith had started shaking and his breathing became faster and faster. He was starting to have a panic attack.

"Oh god" Lance said internally. He didn't know how to comfort someone.

"Everything is going to be ok. Just breathe. In and out. In and out. Good. You've got this. You're going to be fine. Just remember to breathe. In for five and out for eight. Good you're ok. You're ok." Eventually Keith started to calm down after collapsing onto Lance. He was as weak as a thread.

"Ok here we go " Lance carried Keith back to his room. Luckily it was still pretty early and no one was awake yet.

"Lance, please don't tell anyone about what I said to you. If they find out... I-"

"I won't tell anyone I promise." Lance said , smiling. He gently tucked the hair sticking to Keith's forehead behind his ear and sat on the floor beside his bed.

"You can go you know"

"Yeah I know, but I don't want you waking up in panic again. I want to be here and make sure you're ok" Lance couldn't see but Keith smiled. At that exact moment he didn't like Lance anymore. He loved Lance and nothing could ever change that.
