Chapter eight pt 2

"Well that guy was grumpy. We didn't even get a thank you, even though we saved him from getting beat up" Hunk said. He was hurt that they risked their lives to save him and they didn't even get a smile.

"All we got was a yeah see you later" Hunk mimicked the boy. It was actually a pretty good impression.

"We don't even know his name "

"It's Keith" said Lance applying a
face mask. He was one of the best students in the garrison and Lance wanted to get on his level. Maybe Keith would train him.

"Yes but he didn't tell us that. How was I supposed to know" whined Hunk.

Lance rolled his eyes and smiled. Hunk forgot names pretty easily. Hunk sighed but then his eyes lit up.

"You like him don't you" Hunk teased. Lance was glad he had most of the mask on as he started going extremely red. Lance swore Hunk was able to read his mind.

"No don't be silly I don't even know the guy."

"Wow you really are a terrible actor." Said Hunk. Lance put his hand to his chest dramatically and feigned being shocked and hurt.

"I always got the lead roles in plays. Thank you very much"

"They must have been terrible plays" Hunk muttered but Lance heard him. Lance left and shook his head glad that he had gotten Hunk away from the subject of liking Keith. He hoped Hunk wouldn't bring it up again.

"So... Keith huh" Hunk smirked when Lance let out the biggest sigh.

"I don't have a crush on Keith" Lance whined.

"Sure" Hunk said, they're was a sarcastic tone to his voice that Lance didn't like.

"Ok fine I do. Happy now?" Lance said, he was irritated that he had to admit it.

"Aweeeeeeee, I won't be happy until you're going out together" Lance swore underneath his breath and shoved Hunk over.

"Hunk I'm not asking him out" replied Lance. He felt to nervous. He wasn't usually this bad.

"But you can ask girls out all the time.... are you not sure you want to go out with a guy who has a mullet... I would probably be the same actually unless you could get him a decent hairstyle."

"It's not that it's just ...I feel nervous around him... I don't feel confident I just... I don't know." Hunks eyes widened.

"Oh my god you're in love" Hunk screamed.

"Shush" Lance said angrily but he smiled. He was in love.

"Hey lights out" said one of the workers outside the door. Lights always had to be turned off at 9:30 exactly. Lance turned off the light and fell into his bed.

"I'll think of a plan in the morning" whispered Hunk. Lance laughed and smiled. His last thoughts before he went to sleep were of Keith.

The next morning

Keith got up from his bed and stretched. He used to share a room with Shiro but now that he's gone, he was all alone.

Keith looked at his clock. Half four. It was summer so it was already bright outside his window. Keith groaned. He knew he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep. Usually he'd wake up Shiro and they'd train together but now... he was alone. Keith missed Shiro.
