Chapter 26

Jayden's POV

The fuck is he doing here ? I thought to myself as I picked him up off the floor. "Hey lil man." I said kissing his forehead.

"Hey daddy." Kaden replied laughing.

"What you doing out here in the hallway by yourself ?"

"Ashley sick and it's a lot of peoples in there."

So he calls Kadience mommy me daddy and his own mother by her first name ? That's tragic.

"What room is she in ?" I asked walking down the hallway. He pointed to door , I knocked on it letting myself in.

I heard the doctor telling her that she only had four more hours , for what ? I didn't know. After all the doctors and nurses were gone I took my seat in one of the chairs sitting beside her with Kaden in my lap.

"Hey Jayden." She said weakly.

"Hi how are you ?"

"I'm ok." She said laughing. I knew she wasn't ok. She had lost a lot of weight since the last time I seen her. Her face looked a little caved in. Her hair wasn't done , it kinda had me wondering exactly how long she had been here.

"No you're not , why are you here?"

"I have leukemia, stage 4 cancer." She said sighing and looking away from me.

"I'm so sorry but you're going to be ok right ?" I said grabbing her hand. I watched as tears started to fall down her cheeks , she didn't reply she just stared at the wall. "Right?" I asked once again.

"Jayden I want you and Kadience to sign this." She said handing me a stack of papers. "The bear and the balloons are from Kaden and I, give them to her please. You both have four hours to decide, I want to speak to you and Kadience before I go." She explained.

How did she know what was going on with Kadience ? And what was up with this four hours shit ? Was she going to she discharged in four hours ? I don't know.

I looked down at the stack of papers and I couldn't believe what I saw.
