Inexplicable (Drake)

Chapter 22

Sabrina's P.O.V

As soon as the bell rang I lazily packed up my stuff to wait till everyone had gone so I could talk with Drake.

I was getting bored of keeping us a secret and having to constantly watch out for people when we are together.

When the last person left I ran up to Drake and gave him a hug by wrapping my legs around his waist.

"Woah you saw me last night you know" he said as he hugged me back.

"I know but I missed you anyway" I got off of him and sat on top of his desk.

He went to his bag and pulled something out but then immediately put it behind his back.

He bit his lip and came closer to me so he was standing in between my legs.

"Happy birthday" he said.

I opened my mouth slightly in surprise.

"How did you know" he just shrugged in response and then put on a wide smile as he brought his arms out from behind his back.

In his hands was a red box with a golden ribbon wrapped on top. I gleamed at it and then at him, he didn't have to do this.

I opened it revealing a tan leather bracelet with my name imprinted in black.

I tackled him into a hug and he laughed while holding me and rocking us side to side.

"I'm glad you like it" he said

"I love it" I mumbled into his shoulder.

Drake's P.O.V

"Are you doing anything today" I asked her as we pulled away.

"I don't think so" she asked with uncertainty. " my parents used to throw me parties but they kinda stop doing that" 

My parents had never thrown me a party, the only parties I've ever been to had involved alcohol, and a lot of it.

"So.... Let me take you out" I suggested to her.

"Can we just chill at your place"she asked.

"Okay let's do that, movies and snacks" I told her.

"Yeah, I'm picking the first movie" she announced holding her hand up.

"You can pick them all, it's your birthday!" I reminded her. "meet me in here after your last class and I'll drive you there" I said before kissing her cheek and going out the class.

Sabrina's P.O.V

I had just finished my last lesson and I was ready to go to Drake's classroom.

On the way there I leaned against a random locker and looked around my bag for my phone. I dialled my mums number and waited till her voice yelled a cheery "Hello!"

"Hey mum, I'm staying with a friend tonight so I won't be home for my birthday" I said to her.

"Oh darling, your father was expecting you home today for us to do something as a family" I rolled my eyes at the thought.

I didn't want Monopoly and a Chinese takeaway with my parents to be the memory of my 18th birthday.

"Sorry mom, I made plans" I didn't want to come off as harsh or even try to be mean in the slightest. I heard her sigh.

" Call your father, I'm sure he'll want to talk about this" she muttered before a quick bye and hanging up.

Drake's P.O.V

I picked my phone up seeing Trevor texted me to go into his house today for more deliveries but I ignored it.

I leaned my head against my desk, waiting for Sabrina to arrive.
