Drake's P.O.V
"Reservation for Drake Graham" I said to the man with a handlebar moustache.
He looked through his book, and then again before looking up at me with a confused face.
"There is no reservation for a Drake Graham" I didn't understand.
" There must have been a mistake, I called and made the reservation two days ago" he shook his head.
"I'm sorry but we have not got you in the book, you should leave now" he said to me laying his hand out towards the door. I held Sabrina's hand and walked out of the restaurant with her.
I was really annoyed but I didn't want that to ruin our night. I had gotten permission from Sabrina's Dad to take her out tonight and that is what I plan to do. It was kinda hard but I know he still hates me.
We got into the car and I tried to think of an alternative.
"I'm sorry, I didn't expect that to happen" I said to her.
"It's okay we can go somewhere else" she said sympathetically. I got an idea.
"Hey instead of a restaurant or something, do you wanna go to a park? I went shopping today and I've got food in the back and I'm sure there's a blanket there somewhere" I rambled. She smiled at me widely and I smiled back.
" I would love to, my clothes aren't really.." She trailed off.
"Oh that's okay, the place I want to take you is really secluded I swear" I turned on the car.
"All right then" she said enthusiastically.
I started driving and she controlled my radio just like she always does.
She picked up a Lupe Fiasco album and looked at it in bewilderment.
" Tetsuo And Youth! how did you get this? It hasn't even come out yet!" She said excitedly and quickly inserting the CD into the slot.
"I've got contacts" I smirked at her by barely taking my eyes off the road.
I was planning on taking her to a park that I grew up near. It was fairly dark so I expect it to be empty. It wasn't that far so when we got there I rushed to her side of the car to help her out. My mom didn't raise me without manners.
"Thanks" she mumbled following me to the back of the car. I handed her the blue and white squared blanket.
"Go pick a spot near here and I'll come to you with some food" I told her looking through some plastic bags.
I grabbed a couple of items and jogged to her while loosening my tie and taking it off. I sat with my knees slightly bent in front of me while she sat with her legs tucked together.
We munch on the food and a conversation flows easily between us.
After we were finished eating I laced my fingers with hers and pull her under my arm.
Sabrina's P.O.V
"I've been putting this off for too long Sabrina" Drake says to me.
I nodded my head and snuggled into him more, bracing myself for what he is about to say. I was the one encouraging him to be open with me so I'm not surprised that he was ready for a confession.
" I wanted to say this now in case you hate me for it, I don't want to get my hopes up if that's going to happen in the end" I understood what he was saying but I stayed silent for his sake.
"Well you know I fell into a bunch of bad people years ago" he stopped and a silence lingered.
"Your past will never change how I feel about you" I assured him. He looked at me in the eyes and then looked out into the distance again. He looked as though he was in deep thoughts as his eyebrows were furrowed.
" here's the thing though Sabrina, I need to tell you about my past because I'm not sure you will feel the same about me after" he told me.
I opened my mouth to talk back but he put his finger on my lips. "Let me finish first baby" I nodded.
" I got in with a bad crowd and started selling drugs, I never took them, I was too smart for that. Eventually I got into my bosses good books and he promoted me to selling guns. I was quite good at it and never got caught till I got promoted even higher. My boss wanted me to assassinate someone" he stopped there for a few seconds " And I did it, his name was Donald Glover" Drake's head was down.
"What happened after" I quietly asked him.
"I, I got really depressed and Trevor noticed so he put me back to just selling drugs and made me stay low, I only got a job as a teacher so I could take my mind off it" he admitted.
My head felt like it was in whirls from all this heavy information. I didn't really know what to think and if I could ever act the same around him.
My boyfriend was a murderer
I had recently watched a show called 'My Boyfriend Murdered Me' and it was a documentary story about abusive relationships that literally brought me to tears.
It wasn't good to think about that, it wasn't mine and Drakes life, he had never laid a hand on me like that.
"Say something Sabrina, I need to know if you hate me now" I looked into his eyes and saw the fear in his eyes, worried about my reaction.
I focus in on his lips and kiss him for a short time. I may look stupid, kissing him after what he has just spilled out to me. But I meant what I said before, his past would not change how I felt about him.
I pulled away from his lips to be met with his dazzling smile.
"So I guess your not mad at me? I'm glad cos I've been freaking out about telling you" he revealed.
Smiling, he packed everything up and we made our way back to the car.
