Three

Skipping first period had become a traditional thing for Emma, then again it was just her history teacher, Mr. Tanner was a pain and she didn't need her mornings being ruined by him. Normally she would skip with Vicky but the older girl was in the hospital recovering from the night priors incident. But on her way to her second class she saw her sister walking down the halls with Stefan.

"Elena, Stefan" she greeted them the a sing song tone before continuing walking past them, not bothering to stay and chat.

"Emma, hey..." Elena followed her sister with her eyes and sighed, it was a happy sigh, it seemed both girls were in a good mood despite last night events.

Stefan smiled looking back to Elena, "she's in a good mood" he stated and she nodded her head, a light smile coming onto her face.

"must be a twin thing" she joked, silently hinting she was in a good mood too.

At night Emma was talking with Elena and Jenna in the kitchen, more so she was listening to Elena talk about her encounter with Stefan and his brother Damon. She went over the conversation she had with Damon and how Stefan acted before she left, right away Emma had millions of comments running through her head.

"-He's on the rebound and has raging family issues." Elena poured some chocolate fudge over her homemade sundae.

"Well, at least it's an ex-girlfriend." Jenna shrugged as she twirled around her apple, " Wait till you date a guy with mommy issues"

"or cheating issues" Emma tossed in remembering her last boyfriend, freshman year. it was on then off and then on and then off. It continued for the whole year until they finally broke up for good over the summer.

"Or amphetamine issues" Jenna tossed that one in and Emma chuckled at that one. But the sound the front door opening and closing cut the conversation short. It was Jeremy who finally came home, the three girls shared a look before Jenna rushed out the kitchen. "Jeremy? Jeremy-"

Emma turned to Elena, "I'm heading to Tyler's, might stay over" she said grabbing her bag that she had on stand by, "tell Jenna when's she done yelling at Jeremy?"

Elena nodded, "okay, be safe" she said and Emma grinned before leaving through the kitchens side door.

"-Then he threatened to kill me"

Emma pushed herself up from Tyler's bed, using her elbows to hold her up, she rose a brow at the boy who was changing into his sleep wear. "and you didn't punch him?" she asked shocked at her best friends lack of responses for earlier events in the day.

He gave her a look, his brow slightly raising as well, "you want me to punch your little brother?"

Emma shrugged letting her body flop back down onto his bed, "Maybe it'll knock the stoner phase out of him" she suggested, truth was she wasn't a good rolemodel for her little brother or anyone. But she didn't want Jeremy to follow her footsteps, to throw his life away, and as hypocritical as that sounded, it was the truth.
