{Song Above: Hey There Delilah}
You and your boyfriend had plans for the weekend.
It was a sunny day. Birds were singing. Flowers were blooming. And children were playing.
You looked out the window of your kitchen to the street. A small group of kids played soccer in the street being careful about the cars.
You smiled at the thought of having children of your own.
One day... You thought. One day...
You watched the kids a while longer until you realized you had things to do. You sighed as you walked to your room.
You had planned a picnic in the park with Breakdown-your boyfriend. Sure he got protective a times and pic fights, or get angry and yell on rare occasions, but you love him. You two have been dating for two years now.
You had just finished collage and got your degree. What was it you ask? Engineering and robotics. You were always fascinated by the subject since a child. Your uncle was one and your father too.
You changed into some jeans and a blue tank-top.
You walked out of your room and looked at the ticking clock that filled the silence. It was noon so Breakdown should be coming anytime now.
You and Breakdown don't live with each other due to some issues you had. Your mother didn't like Breakdown and would come on surprise visits. If she saw you and Breakdown living together she would freak. Sure you could tell her you wet an adult and could make your own decisions, but your mother always threatened to somehow take away your degree and ruin your dream of being an engineer. Breakdown knew it was a big dream to you so he understood.
You walked to the living room and grabbed the blanket that you had folded neat and ready.
The doorbell rang and you looked towards the door.
Must be Breakdown! You cheered in your mind.
You opened the door. Breakdown had jeans on with a black tank-top. He had silver hair with the tips fading to blue. His eye patch covered his eye as usual and his remaining yellow eye shined like the sun.
"Hey!" Breakdown said with a smile. "Ready?"
"Yep!" You cheered and walked out. You closed and locked the door before seeing the picnic basket in Breakdown's hand. "And I can't wait to eat!"
Breakdown chuckled and kissed your forehead. "Me too."
The neighbors saw Breakdown and you and waved. He two of you waved back. The children stopped playing soccer and ran over with bright smiles seeing Breakdown.
"Your back!" Said the oldest of the four. His name was Mike. He was about fourteen now.
"Yep! Been practicing your kick, I see." Breakdown said with a smirk.
"Yep!"
The second youngest hugged Breakdown's leg. She was six and loved Breakdown. She even called him 'Uncle Breakdown'. From how much you and your neighbors hung out you might as well be their aunt.
"Hey, Uncle Breakdown!" She giggled. Her name is Rose.
"Hey there squirt!" Breakdown laughed and hugged her. She giggled at in embrace.
"Hey (Y/N)! Hey Breakdown! Planning a picnic this fine afternoon I see!" Said the children's mother, Amber.
"Yeah! We haven't had one in awhile!" You said with a small giggle as the youngest child started to bounce your my free arm. Her name was Amanda.
"Kids! Lunch!" The father called.
"Bye Uncle Breakdown! By Aunt (Y/N)!" Rose giggled and ran off. Amanda waddled after her sister with her laughter filling the air.
"Hey maybe when I get back we can play some soccer!" Breakdown said to Mike.
Mike smiled big. "Sounds like a plan! See ya later!" Mike called as he ran off for lunch.
The second oldest smiled brightly at us. His name was Mason. He was twelve.
"I have a question..." Mason Said.
"Ask away, kid!" Breakdown said.
"When will you two step up from just dating? Like... When are you two getting married?"
You smiled largely but felt a bright blush rise to your cheeks. You haven't even thought about it. Breakdown had a small blush too but chuckled and rubbed the back of his head.
"Hey, (Y/N)! I know you're about to leave but can you do something for me real quick?" Asked Amber.
"Yeah!" You called and handed Breakdown the blanket. He gladly took it.
You jogged over. "What do you need help with?"
"Can you help John know what parts to by for the truck? He wants to fix it on his own but I'll have you on stand-by." She giggled. I smiled brightly.
"Of course!"
~Time Skip Brought To You By Fangirls~
"They sure like to keep us!" You said with a smile.
"Well they accept us as a part of their family after all!" Breakdown said with a chuckle.
"Yeah." You sighed and you looked into the park.
People were taking walks, riding skateboards or bikes, walking their pets, or playing.
"Such a nice day out." Breakdown said as he took your free hand.
You smiled and leaned into his side. He chuckled and walked with his arm wrapped around you.
Once the two of you found the perfect place, you both started to set it up.
You sat on the blanket first and Breakdown soon followed.
"So far so good, right?" Breakdown smiled and kissed your head. You nodded and leaned into his side once again.
"Breakdown?"
"Hm?"
"Do you ever wonder when my mom will..." You couldn't finish the sentence.
Breakdown sighed and ran his fingers through your hair.
"She won't. She can't take your degree or your dream. I promise that." Breakdown said in a comfortable tone. You smiled and hugged him.
"You're such a lovable panda bear." You mumbled into his chest. He laughed.
"Oh am I now?"
"Yes." You said.
Breakdown laid you and him down on the blanket and hugged. When you two broke apart you just looked into his eye. You smiled as he did.
"So how about that lunch?"
"Sounds like those sandwiches are calling me."
Breakdown chuckled at your response and sat up, reaching for the basket.
You love times like these with him. And always will.
