It was about an hour after Anselem was done with his call and he decided to dress up and see her. As he looked through his wardrobe, he could not decide on what to wear. He wanted to look his best as he wanted to use his charms on Ngozi. He was still a very attractive and muscular man for his age, and most people never believed he was 60. He still had well-trimmed beards and could be part of what was called 'beard gang'
After going through his wardrobe for about 15 minutes Anselem was still confused on what to wear. Should he put on his suit and look like a businessman? Or would a jean and manly top do it? After much contemplation he decided to go with the jean. It made him look younger. Sexier even. The top he wore was a body hug, and it defined his muscles. He made sure he beards were neatly trimmed and he sprayed his 'lucky cologne.' This was the same cologne he wore the day he proposed to Nneka and he saw it as his lucky charm. Over the years, he kept buying the same cologne although he had other ones, but this one he used as a good luck charm.
Unknown to Anselem, all his preparations did not go unnoticed by Nneka who had lived with him for 30 years and knew him in and out. She knew he almost never dressed the way he did tonight and he almost never wore his lucky cologne except for special occasions. Nneka did not need a sorcerer to tell her that something special was going down tonight. As soon as her husband left, she dressed quickly and followed his car in her black Camry. She made sure to tell her house help that she had gone for a girls night out with her friends incase anything happens. She hoped if her plan went well and her husband returned before her, he would be told she had left for a girl's night out. He would not doubt that of course because he knew how much she loved such outings.
Nneka decided not to take her driver but to take herself as she did not want anyone to have any idea where she had gone to. She followed Anselems car from a safe distance to make sure he had no idea he was being followed. When he finally stopped outside a hotel, she stopped and parked a safe distance from him too. She took out her phone, ready to take a picture of whoever this lady was. She did not wait for too long. In a matter of minutes, a taxi arrived and a lady walked towards her husband. She was gorgeous, really beautiful but Nneka did not think she was a high class lady. Her cloth was beautiful, a lovely dress with an opening on the back. However Nneka could tell the difference from an elite lady, a city girl, a brushed up village girl and a real village girl. She could tell this lady was either of the last two and wondered how her husband could stoop so low. Without wasting more time, she took several pictures of the lady from several angles making sure to zoom in to her face.

After Emeka dropped me, my phone rang almost immediately and it was Andz. He wanted to pick me up but i refused. He then told me to enter a chattered taxi as he would pay. I refused this too since i did not want any favors from him. However after much pleading from him and deliberation from me i finally decided to. My reason being that it was getting late and i needed this meeting to end quickly. I was elated from Emeka asking me to be his girlfriend. I was very much in love with him and would not let anything to jeopardize our relationship. Andz gave me the direction to where he was and I entered a taxi. I needed to go and come back quickly as i had work the next day and did not want to be out late.
In less than 10 minutes, the taxi man arrived at the hotel and i stepped out. I already knew where Andz was as he had told me over the phone. As i walked towards him i noticed more than ever his bulging muscles. I was impressed. For someone his age he looked really good. I wondered if he had a wife and concluded that he obviously did. No man his build would be single. Too bad he was not younger and i was not a bit older. Too bad too i had a boyfriend i was very much in love with
"Hy dear" he said smiling at me as I approached him
"Good evening sir" i said and sat down ignoring his outstretched arms for a hug
"Why do you keep pushing me away Ngozi?"He asked and tried to take my hand
"I am sorry sir but you are just like a father to me, and moreover i have a boyfriend"
"Oh you do" he said a bit shocked "well of course you do" he repeated "I don't know why i am surprised"
"Yes sir" i do I affirmed again
"Well I respect that" Andz said with sadness in his voice. I pitied him a little. I knew how it felt loving someone and not having them feel the same about you.
"Thank you sir" i replied "if i may ask, don't you have a wife?"
Andz paused when I asked that question. He didn't know what to reply. He wanted to lie, but having known she had a boyfriend and having decided not to bother her much further, he decided to tell her the truth. "I have a wife, but we are hardly married. I miss her, a whole lot. I guess that is why i am after you. You look a lot like her. I know I shouldn't be telling you all these, but i really miss my wife."
At this point, i felt terribly sorry for him. I consoled him and told him that things will get better. I had no idea what had happened between him and his woman, but i senses it was personal and decided not to ask. After we talked about a couple of things, I decided to leave.
Andz promised to keep in touch just as a friend, but not without telling me his real name was Anselem.
"You did not read my business card. Or maybe you just read it offhandedly. If you did you would have noticed that I lied when I told you my name was Andz" he said smiling
I smiled back, knowing he was speaking the absolute truth when he said I had only glanced at his card and then I left.
